You Are Who You Eat

This idea came from looking through tv tropes. Ergo; you are who you eat. The main character is a vampire who for some reason obtains the qualties of those they feed on (even from blood bags.) This could possibly be because they're cursed for some reason or they were injected with something, etc. That is up to you. This character would struggle to some point with who they really are due to only feeling like themselves for short amounts of time betweent feedings. At some point, even if it is in the past, the character went through a type of eater disorder because of it. Starved themselves so they could feel like themselves and maintain a type of control. Would most likley end up becoming unstable and start going on ripper binges which only makes things worse.

This character needs to be between the ages of 18-32. Most likely is a bit reclusive due to the constant mood/action changes that they can't control and the temper due to it. This character is truly a very good soul. They are confused and damaged and stressed. A bit mentally unstable. They don't want to hurt people and they just want to feel normal (for a vampire.)

This character cannot be the side character, they need to be the main character and should be mainly in their POV or in third POV. This book is centered around this character and their story/struggle. I would love if the title of the story was You Are Who You Eat, but you can make it whatever you want. I only ask that there's at least a line in the story at some point that says this for whatever (logical) reason. You would truly have a lot of control over this prompt. There's not even a specified gender or sexuality for the OC and you can add whatever other characters you like. Ideally, I would probably make this a TVD or TO fanfic, but you could even make it an original book or even..even Twilight..whatever you want. As long as the character is respected and kept to character.

You can take whatever road you want with this. You can make them the villain or the hero. Villian turned hero. Good ending, bad ending. The fixing of whatever it is that causes the ailment or the characters inevitable spiral into madness and death. Whatever you want as long as you paint the character in the correct light. Do not make them a two-tone character, they are complex and truly a victim at the core.

(Ps if I were to make this a TVD/TO book, they would be a girl and Klaus would definitely like her; platonically or romantically, either or. They would be close friends and he would take pity on her. Klaus, Rebekah and Kol would often help her with her identity crisis' and would protect her if anyone tried to harm her when she went on binges. (As would Elijah.) Elijah offered a lot of moral support and guidance and would often spar with the girl to keep her mind off of things. Rebekah and Kol are the two that she explores things with; that try and help her explore herself in between feedings and keep her grounded.

This could be set in any time period or have flashbacks or could be entirely in the present. They could have met her at any time (including when she was human) and she may not have even had her ailment until far into her vampire life.

If this is set even partially in TO, she would not be let around Hope until her ailment is fixed. This gives plenty of time between pre-season one and Hope's return in season two to at least find something that helps with it so she's less unstable. I would also take the road where she was eventually cured and got healthier and had a happy ending.)

This prompt honestly just has so much potential and routes you can go with it so I really hope someone uses it. Please do message me or comment if you do though as I would love to know and possibly read it as well.
