Millie's P. O. V.
Hayden walked to the clothing rack and went through the clothes. He took a dress out and threw it at me.
"Here, try this one on," he said. "This one's gonna make you look innocent yet sexy."
"Um...knowing you, you probably intentionally picked a dress that will look like a potato sack," I said and looked at the dress suspiciously. But it looked like a pretty dress.
"Just try it. I've been with enough females to know what looks good on them, so I can make anyone look sexy, including you," Hayden winked.
"Eww...I'm a teenager, pervert!" I said.
"So? You are turning 18 in a couple of months, so it's a fair game to lust over your body," he said and ducked as Alison threw her water bottle at him. Such an imbecile.
I rolled my eyes and went inside the fitting room to put the dress on. I don't know why I was listening to him anyway. I must've gone crazy.
I looked in the mirror and was surprised to see how good the dress looked. It was a light pink chiffon skater dress with a deep V-neckline. The wrapped waistline hugged my waist and the top half accentuated my breasts perfectly without revealing too much.
Innocent yet sexy, I repeated Hayden's words in my head. Guess he knew what he was talking about.
"Wow Millie, that looks really good on you!" Alison chirped.
Hayden stared at me intently for a moment. "I told you I knew what I'm talking about," he said then avoided my eyes. What's that about?
"I like it a lot! You think Zack will notice me?" I said and did a little twirl.
"He would be crazy not to," Alison said reassuringly.
"Yeah, who can ignore that fat ass hiding under that dress?" Hayden shrugged.
"Don't you have somewhere else to be?" I glared at him.
"Yeah yeah, I'm outta here. Good luck getting laid this weekend. I got better things to do than hearing about your teenage bullshit," he said and waved us goodbye.
"God, how can he be so different than Zack? Are you sure he is not adopted?" I asked Alison.
She laughed. "Unfortunately not. He has always been like that. Obnoxious and mischievous. Mom had to try extra hard to keep him out of trouble."
"I'll have to admit, he does have good taste in clothing," I said and looked at the dress. I couldn't wait to wear this on Saturday.
"There's only one problem...." Alison said hesitantly.
I raised my eyebrows. I didn't like where this was going. "What's that?" I asked.
"Melanie is coming too," she said.
"Ugh why, why would you invite her?" I grimaced.
"Well, it's not like I had a choice. She is Zack's best friend whether they are together or not. It would've upset him if I didn't," she said.
"It's whatever, hopefully, he will realize that she is the wrong person for him," I sighed.
And then he will realize he belonged with me and we will live happily ever after.
