Kidnapped by the Hype House

chapter 5

Dixie hugged me back and grinned. "Let's go see how your sister's doing, alright?" Dixie said and slightly grinned.

I nodded my head in a agreement. Dixie took my hand, and lead me upstairs to her room. My sister was sitting on a bean bag and watching Youtube on Dixie's TV. Her smile was so bright that it was lighting up the whole room. I went up to Maya and hugged her tightly. She didn't hug me back since she was so focused on watching TV.

"Just let her watch TV for a bit. I'm sure she'll hug you back later." Dixie laughed.

I smiled and sat on Dixie's bed. Dixie closed the door and sat down beside me, holding my hand and squeezing it tightly,  in a reassuring way.

"So... am I going to sleep here?" I asked.

"Well I thought you would like to have your own room so..."

"But you know I have to be with my sister. I can sleep on the floor or in the closet or-"

"Look, I know you're scared and you want to be with your sister. But there's only enough room two people in here. They gave me the smallest room in this whole entire house and there's not enough space for both of you in here. And I don't want you sleeping on the floor or in the closet. I want you to have your own room. Besides, you'll only be right across from me. And I promise no-one will hurt you. Okay?"

I nodded my head but inside I was still worried about my sister. But I shouldn't be. She's with Dixie. Dixie is going to keep her safe.

"It's getting kind of late so you should go take a little look at your room and settle in for bed. And don't worry, I got you a bed and some clothes etc." Dixie added.

"Thank you, Dixie." I smiled and left the room. I opened the door to my room and my eyes gazed upon a bunch of shopping bags and bed already set up for me. There was also a white closet and a little desk. And also a bathroom. Oh my gosh. I love Dixie.

I set all of the shopping bags aside and hopped onto the bed. I took of my hoodie and saw a bunch of bruises on my arm. They were purple and blue. I probably got them from falling down those stairs...

"Dixie can't protect you all the time. " The la- I mean Avani said.
