The punishment

The pain licked up my legs, harder this time.

Stealing this moment and punishing my crime.

You step away from me, I can't see why.

And then I see your face, it's terrified.

I didn't mean to scare, I scream, please can you see?,

I love you, I swear,.......please forgive me?,

But your eyes are hurt and strange,

And before long you begin to change,

Into a big and terrible beast,

Tearing my flesh, and having a feast,

I try to remember what your love felt like,

Your romantic taste, and rides on your motorbike,

The way you said that you love me,

And the way that you stared,

Mean nothing to me now,

You've made me scared,

I rip off my blankets,

The punishment is over,

I run to my mother,

Seeking vital closure,

I know now that with crime comes a price,
