Philips POV
I combed furiously through my curls and couldn't see a thing. I touched the counter trying to feel a hair tie but struggled.
I flipped my hair out of my face and grabbed the hair tie and tied my hair up.
I looked at his face and cringed. It'd be impossible to count the freckles written on my face.
I gripped my back pack and started down the stairs when my mom called out to me.
"Philip! Don't forget your permission slip for the field trip."
I ran back to my mom and slipped it out her hand and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"Bye mom!"
Eliza smiled and waved.
Theodosias POV
Peggy was waiting for me by the bathroom door and rolled her eyes.
"Hurry up! Your hair is a mess, just tie it up."
I refused. I wanted my hair to be perfect.
"No, peg it's not thay easy. I'll just do a half up half down."
Peggy stayed impatient and grabbed my arm and the hair tie slipped out my hands.
"Peggy!" I shrieked.
Peggy laughed. "C'mon Theo!"
She dragged me out my house and grabbed both our permission slips for the field trip.
Peggy always was impatient. She says I should just cut my hair but I decided I like it long.
At least I'm not late for the bus. Across the street I could see Philip rushing out the house with his hair all tied up. He ran across the street to catch the bus.
He rushed past me and bumped my shoulder. He turned around and saw it was me and just went back on his way. I rolled my eyes.
Peggy caught up with Philip and grabbed him by the shoulder and turned him around.
"Are you gonna apologize to her?" Peggy asked him.
I tried to signal for her to let it be but she rolled her eyes.
"Peggy! Leave him alone it's fine."
Peggy stared coldly at Philip and she let him go. She grabbed my hand.
"What is his problem with you anyways?"
I shrugged. "He looks very familiar..." I gazed out.
Peggy rolled her eyes and sat down with me on the bus. Peggy was just that one friend who is not scared to throw hands.
While Peggy was looking out the window blindlessly, I was steady staring at Philip.
That name sounded so familiar and he looked like someone I met long ago. But who?
Philips POV
Theo was as blind as she was when I first met her. Years ago. She doesn't remember me.
It kinda hurt me but kinda didn't. I knew she was staring me but I pretended not to notice.
When I first met Theo was blindly happy, while I was the cautious one.
I was sitting next to my cousin Angeltia, my aunt Angelicas daughter. Angelita was the only thing I had left of my dear aunt. I missed her dearly but knew she was in a way better place.
I turned around when Theo jerked her head towards Peggy. I forgot how pretty Theo was--i mean..nevermind.
She was my worst enemy. Her father killed my pa. Serves him right to be guilty afterwards. He knew what he did was wrong.
