The Door

As I wait in the cold dark room
For someone to let me out,
I pray.

I pray that one day, someone will see the real me
And I'll finally be free.

I pray that the door will open
Even for a second,
Just so I can witness light.

As I wait in the cold dark room
For someone to let me out,
I pray.

I pray for food, the one meal a day
And maybe It'll be a good meal.

I pray that the door will open
Even for a minute,
Just so I can see him again.

As I wait in the cold dark room
For someone to let me out,
I pray.

I pray that he will notice me
For once in his life, just notice me.

I pray that the door will open
Even for an hour,
Just so I can quietly make my way to humanity.

As I wait in the cold dark room
For someone to let me out,
I pray.

I pray that someone will hear my screams
And will break me out of this jail.

I pray that the door will open
Even for a day,
Just so I can make my escape.

As I wait in the cold dark room
For someone to let me out,
I pray.
