ELIZABETH POV

I've only just met him and yet I already feel attached, like there's a bond between us. His name sounds so...familiar...and yet I've never heard it in my life.

I awake to the smell of burnt food and the sound of footsteps. I open my eyes.
'So it wasn't a dream'. "Good morning." My thoughts were interrupted by his kind comment. "Good morning, is that supposed to be food?" "What do you mean, I'm a great cook". She giggled and went back to sleep.

Time skip 5 days

MELIODAS POV

" Why did you have to leave me again?" Tears were flowing freely down his distraught face. There she was, dead, again. She had been impaled by a large wooden stake that had broken off the wall during an attack from an enemy nation. "FUUUUCK!" He screamed into the sky, waiting for it to fall down and crush him. "Why do you always have to leave me?!"

ELIZABETH POV

I was sharpening my blade when I suddenly felt dizzy. After a few minuets I blacked out.

"Elizabeth...ELIZABETH...ELIZABETH"
That voice, where was it coming from? "Elizabeth?" There it was again.
"My sweet child, it has been too long.
Do you regret being with that...demon?" " I don't know who you are or what your talking about, so please, leave me alone!" She screamed into the distance, she received an answer almost immediately " well, I'm your mother. For being with that demon, I punished you, I cursed you for being with him! Now you will die and rise from the ashes having no memories of him or your past lives!" She was confused. What was she babbling about, she wasn't cursed. Or was she. " however, once you regain your memories you will die in three days. Your demon has also been cursed. No matter how many times he dies, he will come back, the demon king will feed on his budding emotions each time this happens, slowly and surely he will revert back to his old self."
"How will I regain these lost memories?" " You will know when you wake."

Suddenly I was surrounded by a blinding light, I woke with a gasp, clutching my face. After getting to my feet, I looked straight out the door and said.
"I..remember..everything".

MELIODAS POV

I was at the well collecting water when I heard her calling my name, I stopped filling up my bucket and looked in her direction, ' her eyes, NO it can't be'
When she reached me she seemed nervous. She grabbed me by both shoulders and kissed me, it was full of love and compassion, and sorrow.
" Meliodas, I remember everything!"
"That's grea-"
"NO, it's not. Listen to me, we've been cursed! I need you to promises me, that no matter what, you will break it!"
"I promise" his facial expression held determination, courage, and fear.
" each time I regain my memory I will die three days later!"
