Challenged Face

A mask is more than a hiding place.
It's a wall between who you do and do not trust.
Who gets to see the person behind it?
Your family?
Your friends?
maybe no one?
I wear a mask of acceptance and transparancy.
The doctors call it Treacher Collins Syndrome.
But I can't change what I can't hide.
Of course we all hide some sort of monster behind our masks.
They all effect us at one point or another.
But do we sit down and say screw it?
Or do we keep moving?
