Imara. The perfect definition of 'strong, independent woman'. Woven by challenges in life, she grew and became the woman every bachelor, in and out of town, desire. A 28-year-old multi-billionaire businesswoman, a model, an artist, a daughter and a friend are her roles. She did know that in the grand ball her grandparents threw for her 28th birthday, her life will change. It's time to settle down after all. Maybe after this ball, she would be a lover, another role be added for her to fulfill.

Then, she met Calix Andrius Parker. A 35-year-old multi-billionaire bachelor. She doesn't know much about him except that he is a good-looking businessman and the only man who didn't brought a date. 'Nice', she thought.

'I see you've already met Calix.' A voice behind me says. Turning around, I am met by my family. I smiled at them and replied a 'Yes' kissing both of my grandparents in their cheeks and hugging my parents. Completely ignoring the woman who isn't even invited yet had the guts to enter my territory.

'Happy 28th, Imara. I hope you're well. It's just kind of sad that you still haven't settled down. Do you want me to teach you how to attract a man?" The woman says. Looking at her from head to toe, I shivered in disgust. I didn't bother hide my dislike towards this person.

'If it results to me being a gold digger, dressing up like an old lady and be a mistress that would definitely destroy a happy family or in short be like you, then, no thanks. I can manage. So, be my guest and walk away for a minute, I need to talk to my family. Don't make me call the guards.' After hearing what I've said, she turned red and stomped her feet. Thankfully, she listened to me this time. I rolled my eyes and sigh. 'What a child,' my mother whispered at the same time.

My grandfather cleared his throat, 'Imara, dear, meet Calix. The one I pertained earlier. Your fiancé.'
