I left Gilbert's place with Ludwig, his brother, after having dinner with him and Ludwig. I lived down the street, Ludwig lived on the west side. I waved goodbye to Ludwig, not knowing it would be a long time until I saw him again. The next morning I woke up like usual. I then headed out to buy some breakfast food. And that's when I saw it. There was a long fence that went around the border of east And west Berlin. I saw Ludwig on the other side. I go up to one of the guards. I asked what was going on and he sent me away. I feel a had on my shoulder. I knew it was Gilbert. He then walked past me and had a talk with the guard also. His lasted a while longer than mine and ended up with him getting hit/ knocked over using the butt of a gun and the guard practically yelling to leave the situation alone. I ran over to help him up but he got up himself and gave a dirty look at the guards. I put my hand on his shoulder. He looked back at me. I pulled him away before crying. I sobbed into his shirt. I was sobbing out about how we were never going to see Ludwig or probably any of the others, like Roderich and Elizabeta. In the end, I moved in with Gilbert. About 20 years later, we had kids, twins, 1 girl and 1 boy. We named them Rachel and Remus. About 10 years later, a little more, the day finally came. After several weeks of civil unrest, the Prussian government announced on 9 November 1989 that we could visit West Germany and West Berlin. We, of course, went with the hoard of people. We saw Ludwig waiting. Gilbert ran as fast as he could and scaled the wall. The Brothers embraced. Both crying with joy. I helped the twins get up the wall and the Gilbert helped me. We told Ludwig everything. Ludwig had a serious expression like usual. That is until Rachel asked if he was the older brother. He gave a small smile and said Gilbert was way older. Sometime within the next 10 years, they both left. Gilbert, of course, told me he wouldn't be able I come back, I gave a small smile and asked him one of the biggest questions other than 'will you marry me', I asked him 'Are you Prussia?' He seemed taken aback but nodded. Then le left. I never saw him again until now. The year is 2019. I'm on my death bed, I'm more than 90 years old, the kids are old themselves. Gilbert, or should I say Prussia, holds my hand. My eyes start to close. The time has come. I tell Gilbert to get closer. He does. I give him a kiss then my lids close and I fade away into the abyss of eternal sleep.
