Lorcan has wished that he was used to the teasing that Ophelia often did, however, it deemed impossible with how she always had a new way of making him flustered.

If it was not adding flirtatious remarks—it was genuinely her complimenting him during the classes they shared and his assignments that she somehow always got a hold of.

It was really a game of chess with Ophelia and he was just waiting for him to call a checkmate so that she'd have nowhere to go—or basically have nothing up her sleeve.

He was sure that one day she was going to get bored and leave. It was all he really wanted, but a small part of him forcefully refused to allow him to say it.

It was a nagging feeling that he wanted to rid of, but it was almost impossible. So, instead, he resulted in trying his best to shut it out.

Which seemed to work for the most part, but he was not sure if he could do it forever.

"Scamander, if you continue to scrunch your brows like that it'll get stuck" Ophelia appeared before him poking his forehead.

He pushed her hand away and frowned," that is physically impossible"

The female sighed and propped her chin her elbows," It's just a proverbial phase that muggles tend to use"

Lorcan shook his head and went back to reading his book. He knew better to not respond back and Just let Ophelia do whatever she had planned this time.

It was how he came to handling the Gryffindor without much effort.

"Really Scamander, do you ever do anything that isn't reading?"

Lorcan did his best to ignore as she continued asking questions. It ended a while after she huffed and he silently thanked his patience.

However, his victory was futile when he felt a ball of paper thrown to his head. He took a moment to process what happened or tried to when another was thrown towards him.

He peered up and yet again another hit his face.

"Why are you the way you are?" He asked begrudgingly while placing his book down.

Ophelia grinned and playfully twirled one of the scrunched up papers on the table," No reason"

"And heeds the lack of grace" He commented and she laughed to his words.

"Oh Scamander dear, Grace just isn't my forte"

"Yeah, I can see that" He answered back with annoyance.

Though, before he could go back to his book—The Gryffindor continued her shenanigans with the paper and he didn't know why he reacted and imitated her actions.

The two had somehow ended up battling with a couple of paper balls that they both completely forgot they were in the library.

When one ball went rouge, it flew across the room and had a direct hit on Madam Pince's face.

At that very moment, they both swore that the librarian's face was the scariest thing to ever lay eyes on.

Ophelia and Lorcan both gulped as awaited their doom from the elder woman.

"SHHHHHH"
