When I woke I was greeted by the sound of rocketing earth. The hollow tunnel of the labyrinth shook on both floor and ceiling.

I hissed, rubbing the fine sand out from my eyes before squinting at the flames approaching. Demons!

In alert, I ran blindly through the tunnel as fast as I could. Father would have sent them eventually.

My chest pained for air but I needed to press onwards. My Father had no right to interfere, I loved him!

Arrows bore into my back, cutting off sound itself. I stumbled.

Falling, I launched the small toy to hide...
