"Hello All and welcome to My Annual Women's Club promotion party", she said with a Big smile as her husband stood next to her looking at everyone.

I Glanced at Jeremy who scooted closer to me and kept his attention on his Mom at the same time.

"I'd like to welcome the Beautiful New ladies from Locas Grove", she continued talking one of the ladies stood up and everyone clapped as she waved to us.

She takes her seat back and Mrs. Green continued her speech My stomach Growled as I tried to remain listening.

Jeremy looked at me and a smile crept on his face as he looked at me "Hungry are We?", He jokes at me but I'm not laughing at all.

"Jeremy it's not funny"; I whisper back trying to still pay attention to his Mom speaking.

"I haven't ate since this morning"; I tell him as he leaned closer to me and he smelled of Egyptian musk cologne My favorite.

"And Now I'd like to introduce you all to My Son Jeremy fits Green!", Mrs Green yells with Excitement as Jeremy stands up and waves at everyone as they clapped and I clapped too.

He takes his seat back and his mother finishes the Last of her speech and my stomach growls even louder if I don't get some food soon I'm Gunna have to get out of here.

His Mom finally finished her speech and people are going to get food from the chefs and servants at the huge party.

"Come on let's get you something to eat", Jeremy tells me pushing his seat back and helping me out of mine as I follow him to the many serving tables.

They had everything from Baked Cookies to Slow roasted medium rare steak and Devil Eggs, Salad Bar and sushi bar as well.

I looked at everything as Jeremy handed me a small plastic serving plate and walked along side me as I began to pick up what I wanted to eat.

After filling My plate up we walked back to our table and sat down to eat.

A few ladies were standing in a circle staring at me and Mumbling under their breath to eachother.

I was the only Black African American Female at this all White people event and I didn't care I came to support Jeremy's Family for him.

That's all that Matters to me as I looked at the women One woman rolled her eyes and turned her Attention back to her snobby friends.

"Well hungry girl aren't you?", Jeremy's mother jokes walking up to the table and looking at me dig into a crab cake.

I pick up my napkin and dap my lips clean of any food crumbs as she stood holding her champagne Glass.

"Jeremy sure knows how to pick em", she says again Smiling at her own amusing joke but I take offense to it.
