max looked at El who was reading one of the magazines when she remebered a scenario like this but with her old friend y/n who she meant when she moved to Hawkins who got killed by the mind flayer.
Flashback
"omg he's so hot." y/n says to max. max jumps on the bed. "who him?" max asks with a smirk. "mhm karate kid is woah." Y/n says with a surprised reaction. the girls chuckle. "hey you know-" max started when y/n put her magazine down to listen and focus. "I feel like I should go trick or treating with them." max says. "I mean you actually should, and I think two of them like you." y/n says. "wait the two stalkers?" she asks. "yeah." y/n says smiling. max hits her arm playfully. "I'm serious, don't you ever wish that you could be in a relationship with someone. feel the sense of love and get lost in their eyes." y/n asks. "well I only maybe like one of them." max says regretting what she said. Y/n gasped and squealed. "stop-" max says laughing. "max has a boyfriend!" y/n kept chanting while jumping up and down. "shhh stop!" max says grabs her arm and y/n falls to the bed. they both look up at the ceiling. "wanna go to the arcade?" y/n asks. "hell ya!" max says and they get up.
Flashback over
"Max? Max?" El asked louder which jumped Max back into reality. "What's wrong?" El asked. "Oh nothing just day dreaming." Max simply fake smiled. "m okay." el said looking back at her magazine. Max really wished y/n could come back and they could catch up and live their lives as bestfriends, but she knows that'll never happen again.
