The cold breeze stung my face as I climbed out the cracked window. I slid down the roof, careful not to rip the dress I was wearing. Nearing the edge I tried to jump off smoothly but my heels crashed into the ground causing my butt to connect with it. I looked around hoping my mother hadn’t heard my not-so-quiet escape. Luckily, she hadn’t. I picked myself off and brushed the dirt off my dress. I wobbled out of the driveway in my 4” Jimmy Choo heels. I pulled out my phone from the Prada handbag I was carrying and immediately texted Ashley.
“Where r u gonna pick me up bby?” I sent the text and within seconds my phone lit up showing a new text.
Sender: AshleyBoo
Receiver: MOI
“Corner of 5th and Sanstin, hurry prty bout 2 start” I shoved my phone back into the handbag and strolled towards where Ashley was. I was looking around making sure my mother wasn’t in sight. I saw a black Camaro on the corner with the passenger door cracked open. I pulled it open all the way and slid in.
“Hey Tiff,” Ashley said turning her attention towards me. I shut the door and we were off. She slammed her foot on the gas and the car went lurching forwards.
“Ashley, do you maybe wanna slow down?” I asked looking at her like she was crazy.
“Look babe, Jonathon is gonna be there and you know I wanna impress him. I mean, he is my boyfriend after all. I’m hoping to get lucky tonight,” she said winking. I rolled my eyes and she finally brought the Camaro into a slower speed. She stopped the car in front of the party house.
“Out.”
“What?! Ashley, what did I do?!”
“Nothing, Tiff. I was just saying out so I can go find a spot without you backseat driving.” She said chuckling. I grinned at her and hopped out of the car. Even from here I could hear the earbreaking music. I pushed my way through the large crowd of people in the front until I arrived to a door. It was a green door with a red border. I let myself in to see an even larger crowd inside. The smell of alcohol hit me as I stumbled in. I looked around searching for anybody I knew. Or worse. That my mother knew. Luckily, I didn’t see anyone. No one that went to Church with me and would snitch. I was moving the crowds until I stumbled upon the bar. Not exactly the bar, but a kitchen that could easily pass for one. The young man who was working the bar came up to me.
“Hey babe, can I get you anything?” He slurred checking out my body.
“Ya, 2 things. 1 for you to stop checking me out. My eyes are up here, babe and second a shot of tequila. Or something strong. I don’t wanna remember this night.” I half shouted over the loud music. He grinned and walked towards the cabinet. He pulled out a shot glass and poured in the drink. It wasn’t too familiar but who the hell cared. He poured some type of grain into it and slid it over to me. I chugged it down and felt the burning in the back of my throat. Immediately everything went blurry.
“Haha…. Canigetanotheroneofthose?” I mumbled swaying on my feet. The boy smirked and handed me another shot. I chugged this one down again and slammed it against the table. This time my vision was 10 times worst. And everything went black.
