The rest of the week was a blur. Friday was what I was looking towards. As the day passed on Friday, I could hardly wait. Perez was going to pick me up at 7:00 sharp. When I got home, I went straight to work on making myself look as amazing as possible. I showered, shaved, brushed my teeth, flossed, went for a quick run, and dressed as best as I could. As 7:00 came and went, Perez still had not come. Around 9:15, a police cruiser came to my house. A police officer knocked on my door with some news. Perez had been in a car accident on his way to my house and was now in the hospital and they didn't know if he was going to make it. I began to cry and rushed to my car to go to the hospital. As I drove there, I could hardly see the road through my tears. I entered the hospital and went to the room the doctor had told me Perez was in. There he was, with monitors and wires all in him to help keep him alive. Most people in such a state would have looked horrible, but Perez still looked stunning. I went over to the side of the bed and sat down. "Perez, it's Y/N," I said shakily. I grabbed his hand and held it to my lips and began to sob. I felt his hand move. I looked up and smiled. Perez had started to stir and opened his eyes. When he saw me, he smiled that beautiful smile. I began to cry tears of joy. "Hey" he said weakly. He pulled me in for an embrace. "I guess I'll have to take a rain check on our date tonight" he said with a wry smile. I laughed. I was just happy he was okay. Suddenly, the heart monitor began to flatline. "DOCTOR!" I screamed. The doctors rushed in and began the standard procedures. They rushed him to the OR and were there for hours. I fell asleep in a chair in his room. I woke up to a doctor. The doctor informed me that Perez was now in a coma and would most likely never wake up. I cried.
