Tony's POV *trigger VIOLENCE*

I haven't spoken to or seen Layla in about a week. I feel bad for trying to kiss her, but I've liked Layla since I met her in English class sophomore year. She dropped her books when some popular bitch tripped her and I helped her pick them up. I fell in love with her soft smile, the way she pushed her hair behind her ear, how her hair had an overwhelming smell of green apples. She grew up with me, turning into this beautiful WOMAN that I just can't get out of my head.

I scroll through my phone when I receive a text from Vic saying that he wants to talk to me alone! I swallow hard going to my bedroom to change out of my sweatpants into skinny jeans, walking out the door I lock the door before going to Vic's.

When I pulled up to Vic and Layla's place I turned off the engine to my car, walking over to the door and knocking I heard a soft 'come in' then the sound of something shatter. I rush inside to see Layla throwing dishes at Vic! She spots me, running over jumping in my arms, I catch her stumbling a bit. "TONY! THIS MAN WON'T LET ME LEAVE!" I raise an eyebrow at Vic. "Why?" I make confusion evident in my voice. "UGHHH, she doesn't remember me!" He puts his head in his hands and his elbow on the counter. He sounds more frustrated than sad. I look at Layla curled up in my arms, Vic goes on to explain the situation. "I woke up to her screaming, 'who are you?' 'where am I?' things like that, when I tried to explain that I was her boyfriend she bugged out at me. She kept saying she was too young for a boyfriend." "Layla? How old are you?" I look at her as she scans over my face. "The same age as you fifteen." My eyes widen, I hear Vic groan. "Layla I think you need a doctor, okay? Do you trust me?" She nods her head. "I trust you with my life, Tony! You're my best friend!" She hugs me tightly, her arms wrapped around my neck and her legs around my waist, my hands hold her under her thighs. I look at Vic, he is glaring daggers at me, GREAT!

I sit with Layla at the emergency room waiting for her to be called so she can see a doctor. Vic said he was going to stay at the house and clean up the mess Layla had made, I swear it seems like he doesn't care about her, only the fact that he feels imposed upon. Layla grabs my hand while biting her nails on the other, a nervous habit she HAD grown out of. "I'm glad you were able to get me out of there." She turns her body toward me. "You really don't remember Vic?" "No, I don't, is he really my boyfriend?" "Yes, he's Mike's brother, you've been dating for three years." "Holy crap! I can't remember any of that!" "Layla Klein?" The nurse called, I stand with Layla and walk into the back where the private rooms are. She jumps on the exam table, the nurse asks her questions for why we are here, I explain the situation to her and she said the doctor will be in soon. When the doctor comes in I explain what happened from the car crash and then this morning. He explained that Layla has delayed memory loss, that she needs to just be reminded of her life and hopefully she remembers. She looks at me with tears in her eyes. "Tony what if I never remember my life?!" "It's ok you'll remember soon and even if it takes a long time I will always be there for you." I hug her tightly as she cries on my shoulder. "Let's get you home to Vic." "Ok tony." She kisses my cheek and I blush bright red. "Let's go." She pulls my hand and leads me to the car. I drive to take her home, I notice she's hesitant to go in the house. "Hey, what's the matter?" "That Vic guy didn't really seem to like me, I don't know if I want to be near him." "Listen, I'm just a phone call away if you want I'll come by in the morning." "That sounds great Tony." She opens the door of my car getting out, she closes the door walking up and going into the house.

Layla POV

I walk in the house and see Vic on the couch with a bottle of tequila. "Oh, you're back." "Hi." "Do you really no-not remember me?" He stands and starts to wobble over to me. "The um the doctor said I should remember if I'm reminded of my life." I shrink away as he gets closer, my back pressed against the wall, I can feel my heart beating so hard in my chest. "I'll remind you." He grabs my neck and picks me up off my feet, I try to kick I claw at his hands but it has no effect on him. I see black blurring around the edges of my vision, he drops me to the ground, I land with a thud and a groan. He kicks me in the stomach and then the ribs, he leans over me and punches me in the face. He gets up and walks away from me, mentioning that I'm sleeping on the couch. I don't think I could even make it to the couch, I'm on the verge of blacking out. I pull my phone from my pocket as best I can and dial Tony. I don't even hear it ring before I blackout on the floor.
