A husky whisper wakes me up as I'm forced to lift my head up from the warm chest I was lying on.

"Morning, Chloe." Sam greets me.

"What? Is it morning already?" I ask confused as to why he'd say that when it's still dark outside.

He chuckles lightly and helps me get up from his lap and out of the car while mumbling a quick "No".

We're here, finally. I wonder how Gilinsky managed to find the way to the lake house but if I actually think about it, I don't really give a shit.

"What's the time?" I ask looking for the others.

"Almost 11." Sam responds simply but seconds later continues with a question. "Wanna go inside?" He looks at me.

"Is everyone else there?"

"Yeah, they're all just messing around, watching TV, eating some snacks." He explains.

I stay silent for a moment and then eventualy speak: "Can you come with me somewhere before joining the guys?" I ask hoping his answer would be positive.

"Of course."

I interwine our fingers and glance at him one more time before pulling his arm so he follows me. He doesn't question anything so when we arrive at the dock he immediately smiles, knowing what I have in mind.

"I thought you never wanted to do it again." He chuckles as I playfully smack his shoulder. "Shut up, I'm over it already." I defend myself. "Oh, little Chloe isn't afraid of water anymore?" Sam asks with a kid voice.

"I'm throwing you in with your fucking clothes on!" I yell as he laughs and pulls me into his chest. I struggle to push him in but he blocks my actions with such ease it's incredible.

When I finally calm down I look at him, waiting for an apology. He doesn't seem to get the message but instead he takes his clothes off remaining in his boxers.

"Why are you still mad, Chlo?" he asks getting a bit closer. "Apologize, Samuel." I tell him, trying to sound serious as hell. "Aww, Chloe got a little mad and now she feels embarassed, look at how cute she is." He starts as he takes my jacket off. I remain silent.

He leans in closer and whispers "Forget about it, Chloe, let's have a good time" while his hand is slowly going up my back underneath my shirt.

I bite my lip and smile then help him by lifting my hands up. He pulls my shirt over my head and I continue with taking my shorts off.

"You ready?" He asks grabbing my hand in his.

"Hell yeah!" I say and we jump in together, hand in hand, as the freezing water swallows us.

Coming up to the surface, I look for Sammy around but it's dark and I can't really see much. I lost him when we jumped so now I'm left al- "AAAAAH!" I let out the loudest scream in history as Sam bites my leg.

He comes out laughing his ass off and the urge to beat the shit out of him is increasing with every second.

"Fuck, Sammy, are you fucking insane?!"

He's still laughing like an idiot and it's already starting to piss me off.

"Calm down, baby, it's just the two of us." He tries getting closer but I push him away.

"Guys? Are you there?" Nash's voice interrupts our little game and I quickly wrap my arms around Sam's neck. He hides us underneath the wooden dock so Nash doesn't see us.

I'm trying my best not to face him but he tilts my head up gently and looks at me.

"You're cute, Chloe. So fucking cute I can't get enough of you."

I immdiately blush but I'm grateful he can't see my face that well. Though I know for a fact he can feel my heart beating faster than anything, What the hell was that? The fuck, Sammy? I really didn't see that coming.

"Guys?? Sam, Chloe?" Nash yells one more time interrupting my train of thoughts.

I hold Sam tighter and try not to laugh while Nash is getting closer with every step.

"If this is some kind of sick joke then just get out, it ain't funny." He says.

I chew the insides of my cheek until he leaves because I'm very close to bursting out in laughter. Once we're alone again we silently swim together and enjoy the night.

"A ciggarette would be great right now."

He shakes his head. "No, it wouldn't, Chloe, they're really bad for you. I've been trying to stop you for such a long time. When will you ever listen to me?"

"Excuse me? Jack is the one who tries to stop me."

"Yeah, by taking your ciggs and smoking them himself."

"Well, who's the one who buys me them?"

"Ugh, I know they make you really happy and the expression on your face when you see them is absolutely priceless but I'd kill to see you that happy without cigarettes. I can never resist when you beg me for them, you seem so down and I don't know what I should replace them with. I'm sorry."

"Sam, it's alright. It's not like I've been smoking for twenty years or something."

"It's been two years, Chloe. I still remember that day I saw you crying at the end of the football match in freshman year. I remember when you took that first ciggarette from Jack and you lit it up with such eagerness. It was him who made you smoke."

"Is that why you hate him so much?"

"I don't hate him, where'd you get that from?" He said a little bit too quickly.

"Sam, it's way more obvious than Cameron's flirting with Bella."

"Then, shit."

I chuckle and ask him again. "So was that why you hate him for?"

"Part of the reason."

I get closer to him so as he can kind of see my face in the dim moonlight. He instinctively wraps his arms around my waist and I rest my hands on his shoulders.

"What's the full reason, Wilkinson?"

"It's nothing important, some things he did back in middle school."

"Sam, you know you can tell me anything."

"It's no big deal, Chlo, I promise."

"Spill it, Wilk!"

"If you really wanna know then why don't you ask him?"

"I don't wanna risk getting raped so no, thanks."

He laughs.

"I'm joking, Sam, just tell me."

"Jack's always... he's always... ugh, this is so hard to say... he's always had the girls I liked, he's always been the one to get them to hang out with him, he was a ladies man ever since we were little. And I wouldn't be mad if he didn't do this on purpose, but he knew who I liked and he took every chance he had and made my middle school years a nightmare..." he trailed off.

"God, Sam, that's so childish. How are you not over it already?" I chuckle.

"Because he's still doing this and it's bugging the hell out of me."

"Oh, really? Wich girl is he stealing from you now?"

"You."
