I slowly began to open my eyes. I saw him staring at me. Soon something came over me and I wrapped my arms around his neck resting my arms on his shoulders hugging him. Even though I wanted to i didnt cry. I knew he would say it wasnt cool to cry. He soon I could feel his arms hesitantly wrap around my body. We stayed hugging onto eachother for a while.
"I should have helped you that night...maybe then this wouldnt have happened," he whispered softly in my ear.
I could tell he was upset. He always felt it was his job to protect me like a contract or something. I know he cant always protect me from everything. I wish he understood that.
"Its not your fault soul," I said slowly releasing from the hug.
"It is...your my miester and im supposed to protect you," he said quitely looking down putting his hands on his knees.
I looked at him sadly unsure of what to say next. I knew if i said anything he would argue until he was right even if I was right. I slightly sighed and at that moment Black Star burst through the doors and rushed hugging me.
"Yahoo! Maka your awake!," he nearly shouted.
Tsubaki followed him "Black Star!" she nearly shouted when she saw him.
"What," he said letting me go turning to him.
"Take it easy on her," she said calming down a bit.
He stood next to Soul and looked around. soon Kid, Liz, and Patty came in. That was it. the whole group together again. For a while we all sat in silance. No one knew what to say.
"So Maka what did you dream about?" Kid asked soon looking at my hair and slowly reached for a brush. I could see in his eyes the frustrating sight of it not being symetrical.
"Just something extremely weird," I sighed and closed my eyes.
Soon I felt something tugging at my hair. I opened my eyes and seen him brushing my hair like a maniac. He even had that crazed look on his face. Soon i heard everyone chuckling quitely. I sighed loudly. Kid stopped brushing my hair and took a step back to glance at it.
"Perfect," he said and slightly smiled.
Everyone slightly giggled and I looked down slightly blushing a bit embarrassed. Soon the nurse walked in and let us leave. we all made plans for in the morning to help me regain my strengeth to play a few games of basketball.
