Journey to the Kingdom

Since the Clover kingdom has been in crisis for the past year due to the issue with the elves and spade kingdom. The Emperor has decided to pay them a visit with some of the generals for possible alliance and trade. Clover kingdom can provide a good trading ground for the continent where they are in and the Empire will be benefiting if the terms are correct. The Afternoon meetings are the worst; the first rank general is always insisting that all admirals be present.

You are always paired with Admiral Ryusuke (Snake Magic User). You always hated attending the meetings as they are mostly a waste of your time and the emperor keeps bugging you. The Empire hasn't been in war for so long and everything seems to be at peace. The Emperor's Adviser and the General have been thinking of expanding exports.

"You planned on skipping out the meeting again are you?" Said Ryusuke.

"Uhhh.... Yeah I really don't want to see the Emperor right now." You replied while trying to walk away.

"You shouldn't be too hard on our Emperor. He keeps favoring us over the court because of you." Replied Ryusuke with a smile.

"Ugghhh... I feel utterly bad if he favors the court. Fine I'll go." You answered with a frown.

Ryusuke smiled and dragged you to the meeting room. You sat on the first chair on the left and Ryusuke on your right. All 8 Admirals are present; the meeting also includes the Emperor on the end of the table almost right beside you and across your seat is the General. The Meeting is to inform that You, Ryusuke, Eva (Another Admiral, Poison Magic User) and the Emperor will be sailing tomorrow to the Clover Kingdom. The General has been in contact with Julius Novachrono about the said trade export. The General has also said that there is a big gap in skill and magic between captains and knights unlike in the Kyoto Empire where the gap is not far fetched and every soldier is being trained thoroughly in all aspects.

"It looks like the Emperor wanted to get closer and closer to you. Sukehiro-chan!" Said Eva teasing you.

"Cut it out! I never knew that my childhood friend will be the heir to the throne considering that we lived in a rural place." You replied.

"W-wait! Y/N. Y/N Sukehiro!" Shouted the Emperor while trying to catch up with you.

When you heard his voice you tried walking faster but the General blocked the hallway.

You looked up and gulped as the looks on the General's eyes were like daggers meant to slice you.

"The Emperor is calling you. Turn around and talk to him." Said firmly by the General.

"Yes, General." You replied in fear.

You turned around and smiled while you waited for the Emperor to catch up to you.

"I would like to talk to you about an important matter before we leave tomorrow. Can we talk in private." Said the Emperor.

"S-sure, long as you don't do anything indecent." You replied while losing the volume of your voice.

"No worries. It's nothing like that." Said the Emperor with a smile.

He led you to the courtyard and sat at the gazebo. The royal court ladies have prepared snacks and tea. You are curious as to what the important matter that needs to talk about before leaving.

"Nee... Y/N-san please stop with that look in your face. The general isn't here anymore you can lower your guards." He said.

You let out a big sigh and said "Do I look like on guard with the general? I am like this because you are always making things uncomfortable. What the hell do you want now?"

"You are still hot headed as usual but are still so cute! Hahahaha" He burst out laughing.

"Anyway, I have the list of all Captains from the Clover Kingdom. A name in it is familiar and I want you to know this." he added.

You looked at the List of the names and one name registers to you.

"Yami Sukehiro... Foreigner with unknown family background. I-it can't be!" You said in shock.

"Yes, Considering that he has no family background information as they say and a foreigner. I have checked with some investigators about the incident 13 years ago with your older brother. They said that it is a great possibility that it is him alive and well." He said with confidence.

"I see.. That idiot might have survived hell and went back to life. I'm relieved. Thank you" You replied with a soft smile.

After that talk you have prepared everything you needed for the trip Since you don't like Sailing much and the Grand ship will be used you can bring familiars with you. You have a griffin named Fynn and Silver wing eagle Gintori. You have sailed for 2 days in the sea and constantly have Fynn and Gintori take a flight in the sky to scout for possible threats. There were no issues with the journey to the Clover Kingdom. When the Ship was docked you were greeted by a single man named Marx. He led your party to the palace where the Wizard king and the Captain awaited.

You lost focus on knowing your brother is alive because you don't know where Fynn and Gintori will stay. They are well trained at the very least but they might cause trouble without supervision or they might become a meal to people that don't know. Marx has contacted Julius through his magic and was informed that it can stay in the place grounds while some knights guard them. Which you agreed. Ryusuke, Eva and the Emperor went ahead while you meet up with the knight that will guard your familiars. Two young men approach you and inform you that they will be guarding your familiars.

"Thank you so much. They are trained to behave without me. If ever that they became unruly please use this orb to contact me. I will get here asap." You said while giving them a communication orb.

"Leave it to us!" Said Leo and Asta in unison.

You went ahead to the meeting room. When you opened the door everyone was there except for you. You bowed and apologized then took a seat in between Ryusuke and Eva.

"You are so late Sukehiro-chan" Eva said while teasing you.

"Cut it out or I'll cut you." You replied with a grin.

"You have some lively Admirals Emperor." Said Julius.

"They are hard to contain specially Sukehiro. She is a wild one." He replied and winked at you.

It gave you shivers and made you feel uncomfortable again. Across your seat is Nozel Silva and on the left is Fuegoleon Vermillion. You got intrigued with his arm. He caught you staring at his arm and he smiled at you.

You got shy when he smiled at you and you tried to whisper "I'm sorry"

He responded back whispering "It's alright."

Your face turned red as you think you made him feel uncomfortable and avoid looking at him. As the meeting came to its conclusion. Julius summarized the terms and conditions that both parties agree on. Which means that one of the conditions is to exchange military force to be assigned to the Clover Kingdom and Kyoto Empire. It has been decided that 2-3 Admirals and a handful of soldiers will be assigned to the Clover kingdom to help with the military force in exchange for having the port and trade to go through. There are also a bunch of other conditions that the Empire needs to meet as well as the Clover kingdom.
