MAISEY SAT on her couch biting her nails. it was a bad habit of hers. zach herron was now mad at her and it was all her fault.
she knew deep down that reconnecting with carson was a bad idea but she didn't know it would effect zach like this. maisey truly didn't plan on getting back together with the blonde.
if she was honest, she quite liked zach. the shameless flirting and late night facetimes made it really hard for her to not like him.
prom was in a few days and she was quite excited but her excitement had gone down considering zach wasn't even speaking to her at the moment. she was hopeful that zach would get over this and forgive her but soon enough her dreams were crushed and when she received a text from the boy.

hey maisey, i'm really sorry but something has come up on the day of your prom so i won't be able to make it. i can see if any of the boys would be willing to take you instead. i hope you have a wonderful night though.

it hurt maisey a lot to talk to zach like they were strangers. she thought that they were friends and that it was about more than just taking her to prom. maisey had taken a quite a liking to the boys after all the talks and funny moments in the group chat. that's not how she wanted everything to end.
