Gracie needed fresh air, so she went for a hike by herself. Google said that after breakups it helps to be alone and she loves nature so what other place is better. The chirping noises and the rustle of the leaves signal that squirrels are around, her serenity was quickly interrupted by a boy, of course, he would be here. It's ironic how she goes somewhere to get away from him and runs into him, Him referring to her ex, Stephen Baxter. She just can't get away from him, he says its because their soulmates but she doesn't love him, it was more of a status than a relationship.
"Hey, Gracie! didn't expect to see you here." Stephen said, checking her out. She flushed red at the sight of him due to anger, this is the last person she wanted to see after he cheated on her, with a guy. She's totally supportive of LGBT+ but he cheated, cheated. She had finally healed and the wound had closed, or so she thought. She heard a much bigger rustle than the rest and birds fly into the sky from a wooded section in the path, probably another runner. As she stormed away not listening to his empty apologies it suddenly went quiet, no Stephen, no chirping, and no rustling. She shrugged it off, about time he got the hint and let her be, not putting a second thought to it as she kept jogging up the trail.
Once she was far enough away a blood-curdling scream carried through the woods, then deafening silence. As the body was hoisted high up in the air as blood still dripped from the wound, a slit throat, Mikey followed her through the trail, attempting to wipe off his shirt. "Damn I liked this one." He muttered, keeping up with her pace easily, for a track runner her pace was walking. He could hear her breathing, seeming as if this was somewhat challenging for her, "Oh Gracie, when you and I become an item we will go running as much as you would like, and we will be the best runners at that for damned school." Mikey snickered under his breath at the thought as he walked following closely behind her. Stepping on a twig and snapping it alerted her attention, no small animal could make such a loud snap.
"Whoever is there come out! I'm not afraid of you." She said confidently but with the slightest waver in her voice. the normal person wouldn't realize but Mikey was not a normal person. "Don't have to be afraid of me Gracie, just getting to photos of the wilderness.' He said calmly, walking into the clearing. "Oh, it's you. Micheal right?" "Actually it's Mikey but you were really close." He replied looking at her with a bright smile on his face. "What happened to your shirt? It's all bloody." walking closer and cocking her head to the side, Gracie inquired. Mikey felt his cheeks flush red the slightest in such close proximity with her. "U-uh just a nose bleed, ran into a tree earlier chasing a deer to get a photo!" he sputtered out, clearly flustered. "Oh, Wheres your camera?" Clearly not letting up on the subject she stepped forward so that they were about 10 inches apart. "I shattered it, really upset about it because I had some nice pictures." He flashed a reassuring smile. "Aww, I really wanted to see them!" She pouted and pressed her index finger in the middle of his chest, sliding her finger down slowly. The male watched as her finger slid down and gulped, "Uh Gracie what are you doing?"
He enjoyed it clearly but was very confused. Gracie didn't like him... did she?? His mind was racing at 1000 thoughts per millisecond. "Mikey? Are you alright? You look quite feverish." She said with a small inviting smile. He was falling deeper into her trap and he knew it, he just couldn't seem to pull himself out of it, it was like he was in a trance. She was a Siren, seducing men and leading them to their downfall. As he unconsciously licked his lips and bent down slightly she wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed a heated kiss to his lips, him returning it with just as much ferocity. She had convinced herself this was a distraction, a way to hide her still very evident feelings for him. Mikey knew he was just a pawn but didn't care, at this moment she was kissing him, not Stephen, not any other guy, him. He pulls back, looking down at her. He had just kissed the woman he loved, the woman he killed for, and he couldn't be happier. "Sorry I don't know what I was thinking, I should've asked you before-" Mikey was cut off with another deep kiss to his lips, he hoped this was the start of a relationship, possibly not but the hope was there. He didn't mind being used by her, as long as she felt better. "Don't apologize."
