Allowing my tensed body to finally go limp, I allowed my eyes to close in utter tiredness. I always hate having to do this. I want to sleep yet it's always so... So scary. Vivid nightmares almost every night, and when they're not nightmares I don't have any type of dream at all. I just wake up feeling a tiny bit more rested than I felt when I close my eyes.

Whatever, let's just get this over with. I could feel myself slipping into sleep, I couldn't keep my eyes open, allowing sleep to finally come to me. I didn't open my eyes. This was how any nightmare started, I would open my eyes and the *fun* would begin.

Come on Aide... Just open your eyes! It's not that hard, just open them!

The faster you open them, the faster this can be over with.

Whining a bit in my head, I flung my eyes open suddenly. Looking around, I was floating in a void. Trying to move, my movements were slower, it seemed a tiny bit like ink. I could still breathe, but I saw the bubbles leave my mouth when I tried to speak. None of it rushed into my mouth like a liquid, but it felt unpleasant opening my mouth, it was like I could still taste it.

I was alone, in a dark void/ink...

Well isn't this fun.

Is this how dreams work? Or- LUCID dreams? Does it start in void space and you create your world from there?

...I'm confused.

While thinking of ways to maybe turn this into a dream, I looked around and spotted a slight green dot.

What is that??

Making my way towards whatever that was, it felt like it was tugging at me to get away from them. Ignoring that, I continued moving my paws in a swim like motion, the green dot revealing itself to be a light green cat with grey jelly horns.

They were looking at something, a bunch of pop up screens of some sort.

"Uh- hi?"

"Wha- Hello??"

Awkward silence presumed.

"Aide right?" they randomly said

"Oh- yeah how did you-"

"I'm Rexia, Spirit of dreams and imagination. I've been researching your sleep schedule and such." they interrupted

"Well... Why am I here then?"

"I actually... Don't... Oh, shi- Nevermind! I know why you're here!" They ended the sentence with a nervous smile.

"And...?"

They sighed a defeated and long sigh.

"You're here to fix a mistake."

"Mistake?" I questioned

"It wasn't made by me. It was made by the spirit before. And- I need a mortals help to fix it." Rexia said

"So... You're asking... Me?" I asked

"I mean, you're here..." Rexia chuckled nervously
