"You really have to be extremely careful," Levy cautioned with a serious undertone as she thought back to her last flying experience where her plane had been shot down.

Jellal, on the other hand, informed the group that the suspected perpetrators had already been caught. It turned out that they were a couple of unfortunate teenagers who had accidentally held the gun the wrong way. This seemingly unintentional action had nevertheless had serious consequences, as they wanted to prevent anyone from fleeing the city.

The journey eventually led the group to the bridge, where numerous people were still lined up to reach the safe shore. Meanwhile, the army worked tirelessly to keep the infected away from the survivors to prevent the danger from spreading.

"We expect to land in five minutes," the pilot announced over the loudspeakers as he maneuvered the plane safely to its destination. On the other side of the city, however, there was still a surprising absence of zombies, which at least provided some comfort amid the difficult situation.

Their arrival at their destination was personally attended by Juvia, who graciously ushered the group into the base. As they walked through the area, one could clearly see how a massive wall was hastily erected to provide additional protection. It was impressive how quickly the efforts progressed, considering that only two days had passed....

"It's absolutely impossible to create an antivirus," a conversation reached Lucy's ears as they walked past a well-equipped lab.

With their companions, Levy and Erza, already led by Mira to their respective rooms, it was now Lucy's turn. Mira opened the door to her room and handed her the keys. With a polite gesture, Lucy accepted the keys, feeling relief that she had already said her goodbyes to Natsu and the others at the helicopter. But one question remained in the room: Would she ever have the opportunity to see Natsu again? After the goodbyes were done, Lucy entered her assigned room and wearily dropped into bed before getting up later for a refreshing shower.

"Dearest daughter, please come in," Lucy's father called out as she entered the room.

With a roll of her eyes, Lucy took a seat at the dining room table, and both her irritation and resignation were palpable in her posture.

"I'm relieved you're still alive, even if it came at a considerable cost," an undertone of financial strain sounded in her father's words.

A sarcastic smile flitted across Lucy's lips. "Your sensitivity really knows no bounds."

"Perhaps a touch of gratitude would be in order," her father retorted, causing Lucy to set aside her silverware in frustration.

"You're consistently the same," Lucy muttered, rising abruptly and leaving the room while her father's voice echoed her in a way that was both familiar and exasperating.

"Oh, daughters."

A surge of resentment ran through Lucy. Her feelings toward her father were tinged with bitterness and disappointment, brought on by his constant self-centeredness and his belief in the power of wealth to overcome everything.

"Luuucy!" A familiar voice echoed down the hall.

"Levy!" exclaimed Lucy, hugging her friend warmly.

"Hungry? We were just going to the cafeteria," Levy offered, understanding Lucy's strained relationship with her father. Grateful for the alternative, Lucy agreed, as she was hungry and had barely eaten due to her father.

In the cafeteria, they found Erza and Jellal sitting at a table, and the group joined them for a moment of camaraderie.
