Happy Birthday! // TODOBAKU

[3rd Person POV]

7:00 am

Today, April 20, 2020, was Bakugou Katsuki's 27th birthday, and also marked him and Shoto Todoroki's 10th year anniversary, given Shoto confessed to him on his birthday, making today a very, very special day.

While Shoto's boyfriend actually slept in for once, he was up making the older breakfast in bed.

"I told him I'd never cook ever again, but this is a different situation.." Shoto flipped a pancake as the two's cat, Princess (courtesy of Katsuki) sat on the counter near the stove and ate her own breakfast.

"Princess, you really shouldn't be on the counter, it's unsanitary. Gordon Ramsay wouldn't approve." The half 'n half boy joked. That's when two tired arms wrapped around the talkers waist.

"He wouldn't, but 'm not Gordon Ramsay~" The sleepy blonde answered. "Ha! You sure? You two could pass as twins! But G'morning, love. Happy birthday!" The taller kissed his boyfriend lovingly, and then moving to his cheek before getting back to what he cooking.

"I thought I told you to never cook again?" Katsuki laughed, petting Princess.

"You did, but would you rather cook your own breakfast on your birthday and our anniversary?" Todoroki smirked. The blonde looked away knowing that he'd rather have anything his boyfriend made, regardless of the fact he may burn the house down. Shoto served breakfast, pancakes, eggs and bacon (basic and very American, I'm aware).

"Speaking of anniversary, I got you something." Katsuki handed Shoto a box, that contained a locket. The picture inside was one of their first date, ten years ago. Shoto nearly started crying, like the baby he is (jk I love him).

"Oh, I love you so much 'Suki. I love it, I'll cherish it forever." The male kissed his boyfriend on the cheek. "You're birthday and anniversary gift come tonight~"

"Oh? You made plans? To go where?"

"That's a surprise, now go pick a movie so we can kill some time." Shoto picked up the dishes to wash them as Katsuki got Princess and chose a movie. He decided on 'The Lady and the Tramp,' a movie he always held dear to his heart, considering it was the movie they watched the night they confessed to eachother. Katsuki felt a body sit down next to him and chuckle,

"we're going to watch this movie again? We watch it so often I basically know the words by hear-"

"hush the movies starting."

Katsuki leaned against Shoto's chest. The two had been together since 2nd year of high school. Shoto took him to a garden on his birthday. The cherry blossoms bloomed around then and it was beautiful. That's when he confessed, and Katsuki, flustered at the sudden confession, admitted that he liked the boy back. They returned to Katsuki's dorm, and watched The Lady and the Tramp, Shoto being incredibly cheesy, and kissing him at the same time Tramp kissed Lady. He's done that every time they watch the movie because he knows it annoys Katsuki to no end.

[Time skip to around 7pm-ish]

The duo had sat there and cuddled and watched movies and TV shows practically all day, the line up including 'Ouran High School Host Club,' which Katsuki claimed was stupid, but ended up really liking it and cried at the end (just like I did oops-) and 'Tiger King,' which Shoto said was scary and gross. It was surprising that the two had totally different tastes and personalities, yet they were still in love with eachother. Opposites attract I guess.

The two were in the car and on their way to where Shoto had set up, reminiscing over times in their relationship. When they did arrive, Katsuki was kind of shocked to say the least. It was the same place they had confessed to each other at a decade ago.

"You look shocked. You ok Katsu?"

"I'm fine, it's just that I didn't think this place still existed.." Katsuki said in awe. They walked down to the same pond, where a picinic was set up. The food looked good too. They sat and ate while they watched the sunset. It was beautiful. That's when something life changing occurred. Shoto had been planning this for months now, it to be special. He thought back to when they confessed to eachother.

[Flashback]

"Icy-hot, what the hell is it? Where are we going?"

"Just be patient Bakugou, we're just about to get there."

In just a couple steps they were there. Todoroki's mother showed him this garden when he was little. Very few knew about it, as they assumed it was just a forest that led to nothing.

"I brought you here to tell you something.." Todoroki looked away, seeing that the shorter boy was clearly confused, and a little annoyed.

"Hm? What is it Icy-hot? Spit it out already."

"Ah, I wanted to tell you a like you, like not as a friend- sorry you probably know what I mean.. It's alright if you don't like me back-"

"You're sounding like that damn nerd ya' know. And, I like you too, I never thought I'd admit that ha.." The twos faces were noticeably red.

"So? Do you wanna be my boyfriend..?"

"Of course ya' bastard."

[Flashback End]

"What's wrong Halfy..? You look nervous about something ha!" The blonde chuckled.
The red and white haired male male pulled a small black box out of his pocket, and got down on one knee.

[small warning, this is really bad, I've never written something like this before ha]

"Uhm.. Katsuki Bakugou, the love of my life. These past 10 years have really been life changing. A-And, I wanted to say you're the best thing that's ever happened to me. S-so um, will you spend the rest of your life with me, (ah-wait no) Will you marry me?" Shoto looked very nervous, he was clearly nervous that the other would say no, they were pro heroes after all, a job such as that makes it difficult to even have the time to get get married.

"Of course you dumbass." Katsuki had a goofy smile on his face as he kissed his new fiancée. They gave eachother the rings and sat back down.

"You know.. that was probably one of the worst proposals ever.. Sorry.." Todoroki apologized.

"I liked it. It screamed you."

"I love you 'Katsu"

That was a long one to write, but it made me really happy! I really love these two, and I can't wait to write more stuff like this :)
