Hello everyone!  This is just a few quick paragraphs to get into the story. It's includes your main background, friends, and other basics.

BACKSTORY
(This is all made up btw. Idk how accurate this is soooo-)

You are a member of the US young women's team (high school students) the captain of the team to be exact.

The world wide volleyball season is every few years so athletes can have more time to train and teams can always be busy with recruiting new members. (kinda like the olympics)

During the off season your team decided they would split up and travel to different countries and practice with its teams. Practicing all over the world with unique teams would greatly benefit the team in developing a diverse skills set.

The whole team would be separated into 3 groups of 6-8 with a coach accompanying each.

Upon deciding the country for your group, the idea Japan was thrown out. It was a popular idea, and everyone agreed it would be fun.

It was decided that your team would travel to Japan in the Miyagi region. Miyagi wasn't too small of a region but not too big so your team wouldn't get as much attention from the news, but get the training needed.

Now in Japan your Coach is a bit well known among the volleyball community. Even the basic public. So of course you are offered many places and schools to stay at. Together as a team you chose Karasuno High School and will be mainly training with them as you're traveling to surrounding schools.

Coach Lekami.
(Full name: Andy Lekami)
Position: your head coach
Very strict but in a kind way. Like the fun uncle. He has the tendency to accidentally sneak up on the girls scaring them.

Position: Captain/Ace
You are very responsible as the captain but you're dumb/oblivious as hell. You always see yourself pulling your friends out of trouble, but that doesn't mean you don't get in any of your own.

Genevieve [prefers 'Gen']
(your best friend+childhood friend)
Position: setter
Height: 5'8
Very loud and hyper. Has a rivalry with Ash and is very competitive. She loves a good laugh and food.

Ashlyn [prefers 'Ash']
(Also a childhood friend)
Position: Wing spiker
Height: 5'9
Very competitive as well. Rivalry with Gen. She hates everyone in general but her friends. She tends to pick fights or poke fun at others. She joking of course.

Shannon:
Position: libero
Height: 5'2
She has a bubbly personality and loves people. But you say anything about her height and she'll become satan herself.

Lizzie:
Position: Wing spiker/middle blocker
Height: 5'11
Just as bubbly as Shannon! She's like a big sister to the team with her kind personality. Sometimes her craziness can get out of hand.

Sabrina:
Position: Middle blocker.
Height: 6'1
Very calm and organized. Like a mother keeping her children in check. Her scolding is worse than the coaches. She is the tallest on the team making her like a BFG. (lol)
