Max's P.O.V.
Claire grabbed the box and opened it. Instantly, a surge of power knocked everyone in the area backwards. It had begun.
"NO!" I realized someone said that at the same time as me... and I know it isn't Neolia. It was some blue-haired girl.
"You know what's going to happen too?" we asked each other. "Yes! It's going to tear Claire apart resurrecting that evil lady! YOU KNOW CLAIRE TOO?!"
"I'm her sister. You?"
"It's complicated."
Neolia, Donovan, and Edric ran in. Neolia groaned and turned to Donovan.
"And this is why I never trust you. YOU NEVER STAY AT YOUR POST!"
"I was fixing an airlock!" Donovan shouted.
"Just because we hang out in a floating multiverse core prison doesn't mean you can go around fixing airlocks, bro!" Edric argued.
Another surge of power knocked us back again... Claire was now possessed by that demon lady.
"Ah, Neolia. Such a pleasure to see you," the former Neolian queen, Clarice, began. "You know... I've been thinking a lot about what I did to you... I regret it."
"You do?" Neolia was just as confused as I was. Clarice nodded.
"I should've annihilated you ages ago!" She then looked at me. "I see a replacement has been found for poor Max... funny how similar they are." She looked at Claire's sister. "Elena, you have aged beautifully! Wait, never mind, you're someone else." She looked at Donovan and Edric. "Your new minions, I presume?"
"No. Edric is a master in aether and Donovan... he's incompetent and delusional, a pretty big help here."
"Hey! I annihilated a kingdom!"
"Yeah! And gave us a bad record! You think I like that?" So Donovan... rebelled?
"Whatever. JUST DIE!" She then blasted Neolia.
"NO!" I yelled. I don't want anyone dying here today!
But when the smoke from the blast cleared, Neolia was still standing.
"I think you're forgetting something, dear Clarice," Neolia began, rising up into the air. "By regaining your powers, you also restored my own." She glowed with an aura and gave a slight laugh. "Why don't we see who walks away this time around?"
It's like... a battle for the greater between two evils now... neither are justified in either of the things they're doing.
I just hope Claire's okay...
I hope she doesn't die...
