Thank you soooooo much. By the way this was really emotinal for me to write but i kept going. And i did shed a few tears too.
When we got home, my dad said that we needed to talk about something that he did while we were gone. I don't know what it is but i guess ill find out.
"While you were gone i made an event to remind the people that im in charge. I split the people into 12 parts and each part has its own thing or job. I also made a game where a person from each distric will randomly chose 1 girl and 1 boy. They will then be put into training and then fight to the death untill two victors remains. They will then be escorted to a vivots village in their distric and every 25 years we will have a qaurter quell. That is where the victors will fight to the death to see who is trully a winner."
"DAD that's STUPID why would youdo something like that!?!? Doyou not know how much pain and missory your people will be in?? Thats rediculous."
"But its the only way to remind people who is really in charge of them. If not then they could one day over power me and throw me put of the system!!!!..."
"Still thats not right!! You cant just take the people from thier families and basically kill them all?"
"Well it seems more harsh if you put it that way. But ill say it again ITS THERE TO REMIND THE PEOPLE IM IN CHARGE!!"
"OK WHAT EVER!! Why do you hate the people of your city? And you said that i had selfish and childish games. What does it look like your doing? Your making a game to let people know that your in charge. Thats not right you ass.
"And for that tone missy, bot only i will put a boy and girl from each distric, you will also be part of this GAME im putting together! I will not change my mind and this will be a real event by the next two months! No exceptions!"
"But thats pure torchure. You cant do that to me. Im your daughter!?!?!"
"Well then youll have to just deal with it. Im not changing my mind. Now off to bed please."
I think thats the first time i think i have ever heard my dad say please. Thats suprising!! But as usuall i have many thing going on in my head so i dont really think i remember if he has ever said please or thank you really!!
As i went off to bed i was wondering what happened to doven? I havnt heard from him in a long time. Its been a few days now and i have meaning to talk to him but of course i havnt been.
"Hey how have you been?" Doven asked
As soon as he said that i started balling out in tears and fell into his arms. I tried to collect myself but i just couldnt do it.
"Whats wrong?!?! What happened!?!?" He asked in a very worried tone.
"Something bad will happen in the next two months. Protect your family, protect yourself, no matter what you do just do it. Ill explain it to you later. Meet me somewhere where my dad won't find us. When you get there, there will be a fence my dad put up, cross that fence, then meet me in the empty field in the middle of the woods. Ill explain everything there. But for now dont tell anyone."
I leaned in to give him a hug. A hug so warm i never wanted to let go because it felt so comforting.
