I was already getting tired but as tired as i was i had to continue my quest, and it didn't look like it was going to be completed anytime soon. I had a perfect plan in my head but there were still some loopholes in it, the fact that i didn't know of any potential homes to drop mara or any couple looking for a baby to adopt and i sure didn't want her growing up in an orphanage. I had heard stories about them that sure didn't sit well with me and as much as i wanted her to be safe, it wasn't an option i would resolve to. I picked up the small duffle bag that i had found in the woods on the first week of our escape,it's content was just a little bottle for mara and a picture of our family.

It was getting dark and i had to find shelter only i wasn't anywhere safe. When i had almost given up hopes of finding a place to sleep i saw a faint light in the distance, and i knew i was one step closer to keeping mara safe. As i got closer to the light i discovered i hadn't just found shelter for the night, after three weeks of wandering in the woods and being in the border i had just crossed it and i was in a city or better yet another country. I couldn't contain my joy but i knew it was only for a moment because now the plan was going into execution.

'' What do you mean you lost her, how on earth could a wounded woman with a baby have escaped from you, how is that possible''. I was shaking with so much rage and i couldn't contain my anger. I had told them to find her and bring her back no matter what but it seemed like the morons working for me couldn't do a thing right. I had to find her or everything would be for nothing, my whole plan was going to be in shambles if i didn't get her. Camilla was the key and i had to get her no matter what i had to do.

'' Word just got to us that she's  already in a city called lagos and its a pretty large city'', Marc the cheif of my security team informed me. ''So find her i replied'', ''That's the problem it's a pretty large city and it might take days, weeks, months, maybe even years before we find her''.

That reply wasn't what i wanted to hear, it sure wasn't going to make me feel better but i had to keep calm as long as i could. This was a war and wars are won by strategy and this one i was sure i was going to win even if what i had to sacrifice was time, i would win and when i did i would rule.

I had been in the city for two days and i had found shelter in an uncompleted building but it wasn't going to be for long. I had found a place where mara would be safe and today was the day i was going to drop her off, it shattered me to know that i might never see the one person i loved more than life itself again but for her own survival it was something i had to do.

''I love you mara and i never thought i would have to do this but it's what i have to do to make sure you're safe because with me you're not, if i make it i promise to come back for you and i hate to leave you but i'll always be with you''. This were the words i spoke to my baby before leaving her at the doorstep of the mason's. I had done my research and i was sure they would take care of her because they didn't have kids of thier own. I was leaving my world for good but i knew deep down in my herat that she would grow up to be a knight because she would always be one by heart.  I left but not without leaving her with another thing i treasured, my wedding band, i left it with hopes that no one would take it away from her and that perhaps when the time was right she would come to know that it was a promise to her. And so i left but this time around i wasn't going to run i was going back to the one place i had run from. My home KNIGHT CASTLES...
