chapter 31

My eyes lazily opened. The room was dark now. I saw a shadow laying down on the couch beside me. I turn my head and saw another figure on the chair beside me. I couldn't tell who it was. I looked down at my arms they were tied down. I tried to speak but nothing came out.
"Help!" I tried to yell but it came out as a cough. Someone stirred in the couch. I kept coughing.
"Here" his soft voice fills my eyes. I squint my eyes trying to figure out who it was.
"Drink it" he puts a cup up to my lips. I chug it down making him laugh. I knew that laugh it was Jack. I pulled away when I was finished.
"Cameron" he threw the empty cup making me smile. Cameron groaned sitting up.
"What?" he grumpily asked . He looked over and we met eyes. I started to cry immediately feeling overwhelmed.
"Hey, hey its okay" Jack hugged me. I cried into his chest all I could think about the kids. they are with him they could be- that just made me cry even more.
"Untie her" Jack said, I honestly couldn't stop the tears. I felt his hands on mine untying my hands.
"I'm so sorry" I cried. I pulled away from Jack hugging Cameron. I felt him tense up, he didn't hug back he just let me cry on him.
"I'll go tell the doctors she's awake. " Jack said, I pulled away and sobbed. I needed to stop. But the kids.
"I know where the kids are." I said suddenly. Jack shut the door. Cameron sighed.
"I know, I do too" I looked at him confused
"What?" he turned his back to me.
"Why did you lie?" he asked. I looked down.
"I had to."
"Why!" he yells making me flinch. I glared back at him.
"Because everything you are thinking about me is wrong, you think I am a whore, that I sleep around that I have no morals. You think I am a bad person you wont even let me explain why I work there." His eyes soften.
"And honestly me lying shouldn't be your priority. The kids should be."
"Your boss called. He wants you in return for the kids." he said, I wasn't surprised.
"When are you taking me?" I calmly asked him.

"I'm not, we can find another way."
"He gave you a deadline, when is it?" I asked, he seemed shocked that I knew.
"tomorrow, but I contacted people to help."

All I could do is shake my head. I knew the boss would kill the kids if he saw police. I stayed quite. I knew what I had to do.

Cameron POV.

The doctors had asked me to leave the room so I could let them check her. her words still in my head. I was being judgmental and I knew it. but I couldn't get over the fact that she lied. The nurse had been checking her for 30 minutes it seemed like it was taking forever.
"So you know now huh" Jack asked leaning against the wall with me. I looked up at him.
"You knew?" I asked he nodded his head.
"So did Nash, i protected after the shows, she didn't like to strip clothes or anything so many of the guys would try to take advantage of her, so I would make sure no one did, Nash kept trying to get her out of there, that's why this happened." He sipped his coffee. I was confused.
"I'm not following."
"She had a contract from all the money she owed, he never let her pay it off she had to work. So Nash was trying to find a way out the boss got mad and hit her were it hurts the kids. didn't she explain that?" before I could answer the nurses where yelling at the doctor. We both turn our head they are pointing to Bailey's room. Jack and I ran towards them.
"She's gone! She hit my head and unhooked her self!" the nurse said. Oh god Bailey.
"I know where she is!" before I took a step my phone rang. It was an unknown number.
"Thanks for making the right choice Mr. Dallas the kids are safely at the park.
