"I am fine riles....just fine..." she nods but before she can say anything i speak again "do you know anyone with the name of Passion?"
she taps her recently manicured nails on her jaw and says "uh" she says with deep thought "aha yeah, Passion she used to go Don before you came...out of no where she disappeared some say she died some say her parents shipped her of to london no one knows where she is..."
"oh...." i take in the information i know if Carl came in right now she will start talking about her so i change the topic before she can ask anything "you know what...lets go downtown after school its like we haven't hung out in a while"
"yeah...you can invite your friend ally if you want"
"i guess but i think she has her cheer practice..."
"i almost forgot i had to tell you about this thing when i was....."
she started saying another story
half way through the doorbell chimes indicating of someone coming she waves the person over i turn just in time to see carlo slipping beside me "hey riles" she nods in return, he turns to wards me "hey" he breathes "hello" i return and laugh at his nervousness
he smiles and before he can ask why i laughed riles speaks up "is there something i am missing?"
"i proposed yesterday" he says with a proud smile
"finally" she squeals
"you knew?" i ask her
"dude wasn't it obvious? anyway i am going to go get some french fries mother nature cravings" i nod and she skips over to the counter
"so.." he says

"i was thinking now that we are officially dating can we go on a date?" in the end his voice becomes a whisper
" is carlos radcliffe nervous?" i say with a laugh
"shut up" he mumbles giving my shoulder a little push
"sure carl i will go out with you"
his fave lights up like a Christmas tree then he turns to face me one leg on the seat folded while the other one was hanging off the seat "really?" he says
i realise how close we are and just to tease him i get more close, until our lips are mere centimeters away "really" i say my breath fanning over his lips
he gulps, i smile again at his nervousness and pull away just in time to see riles coming back to the table frowning
"wassup" i ask just as hear him mutter "tease" i bite down my smile and turn to my frowning friend
"this happened" she shows me a paper with a number on it, carl's eyes turn if possible a darker shade "what the hell!!"
i look up to see a guy no older than us looking at our table and smiling
carl makes a fist causing his knuckles to turn white and he slings his hands off my shoulder he doesn't look at both of us but just storms out, riles looks up from her fries and confusion flashes through her eyes "which side of the bed did he get up?"
"don't know ill go check up on him" she nods
as i go outside i don't see him anywhere so i decide to look at the backside of the diner
as i predicted he was there standing with his back towards me, i was about to approach him when he puffs out the smoke, i stand there for a second, before i can take another step he speaks up
"sorry i didn't mean to"
"S'okay" he turns and looks at me i smile and he returns it
"what happened in there ?" i ask him as i stand beside him
"i don't know i felt the sudden urge to punch that guy....not because i like her or anything but because she is like a sister to me and everything......."
"i understand okay its fine hey look at me"i take his face in my hands and pull him to me "not every boy and girl need to be lovers some emotions can be truly pure okay...its fine...i believe in you" and with that i pull him in for a kiss he is shock for just a moment but retaliates quickly
he suddenly pulls away from me and starts pacing the ally way "HOLY SHITT"
he starts to pull his hair and starts muttering something "carl whats going on...." he still doesn't look at me
"i cant do this to you anymore... i cant you...need to stop..."
"stop what carl..." he still doesn't say anything "hey hey look at me...look at me....CARL"
that get's his attention "what is going on carlos? talk to me"
