It had been a week.
A week of taunting memories, teasing my mind.
My brain not helping as it continued to allow images of the boy pass in front of my eyes at any given moment.
I cursed and closed my eyes then stood up, grabbing my coat as I slid on my shoes. Deciding I was going back to that bar.
It was getting dark as I stepped outside, the sun having set only a mere hour ago. The sky still clinging to its pinkish hue, slowly but surely being encompassed by the deep blue covering the sky.
But not as blue as his eyes.
I locked my front door, ignoring the thought as I trudged my way to my car. My breath fogging in front of my face as the chilly air nipped at my nose, snowflakes drifting around me. The snow crunching under my feet.
I pulled my coat around me tighter then climbed into my car, starting the engine and quickly turn the heat up. Soft music quietly playing from the radio as I reversed the car out of my driveway.

The bar was crowded, the warm atmosphere mixed with the distinct aroma of alcohol providing a cozy feeling as snowflakes continued to fall outside.
I took a seat at the bar, ordering a whiskey as I looked around. Chiding myself for being so hopeful that I would see the boy again.
At this point why don't you just stalk him?
I sighed and nodded at the bartender as he placed a glass in front of me. Sipping it slowly and kept my eyes flitting across the crowd. There were a lot of people but that was usual, this bar had a good reputation around the city.
My heart sped up when I saw something glinting across the room. Quickly forgetting about the glass left on the bar as I pushed through the crowd, my heart dropping when I saw a woman in a short dressed that hugged her body tightly, various glittering bracelets littering her wrists.
I sulkily returned to my seat, finishing the half empty glass then sighed pushing it to the side. Closing my eyes and pinch the bridge of my nose.
"I thought I scared you off the first time."
A soft voice came from next to me, a subtle Irish lilt. I blinked my eyes then turned my head, my mouth parting in shock as I locked eyes with those same blue eyes. The lighter flecks sparkling with amusement as my cheeks flushed.
"Cat got your tongue?"
The teasing tone to his voice only caused the redness on my cheeks to deepen. My mouth closing after being left open from shock.
"I just- I uh, I didn't um think I'd see you again, is all."
I mentally scolded myself. I sounded like a lovesick teenager.
Looking away to allow myself to calm slightly, taking a breath before slowly looking back at him, taking in the fact that tonight he wore eyeshadow, and a lipstick a shade darker than the lipgloss he wore only nights before.
"Well I'm here aren't I? I quite like this place, don't you?"
I could only nod dumbly in response. Trying hard to keep my eyes from wandering to where they shouldn't be. Glancing just long enough to note his casual purple turtleneck, the sleeves rolled to his elbows allowing a few, of what I assumed to be, tattoos to be seen. A pair of fitted leather pants hugging his lean legs, his feet covered by a set of boots that had an array of buckles along them.
"Are you gonna keep staring or buy me a drink?"
His voice cut through my thoughts and I immediately looked away, wondering if my cheeks could flush any darker. Quickly remembering that the week before the boy had had a martini glass. I turned to the bartender and ordered a martini for the boy then another whiskey for myself. Returning my attention to the smaller male next to me; who now head a gorgeous smile across his lips, his eyes giving away his mischievous attitude.
"You remembered my drink?"
I felt my mouth blanch, the betraying red hue returning to my cheeks, apparently deciding to stay there the night just to torture me.
"Just a guess."
A stupid answer. But it elicited a laugh from the boy which made it all alright.
"Just a guess? Alright then."
The playful smirk staying on his face as he picked up the glass set in front of him, taking a sip as he looked back at me.
I don't know if I'll survive this boy.
