Ash's POV
The school day ended and I was rushing back to Professor Kukui's house to drop off my things. Pikachu was running behind and of course Rowlet was sleeping in the backpack again. Lazy owl.
I was in such a hurry he threw his bag and rockruff BARLEY dodged it. Just barely. If it hit his face he woulda used rock throw or something.

A FEW HOURS LATER
Serena's POV: As I stepped out of the changing room with the dress on, I was getting more excited. I took a tiny peek at the audience and I saw Ash and pikachu! Yes! I was going last so I had plenty of time to practice.
5 minutes after practice
My name was called to the stage. This was my time to shine! I better make this moment shine, for ash!
I started dancing around to hype up the audience as my braixen spun around with its fiery stick, creating a circle of fire surrounding us. Sylveon leaped onto Braixen's stick and flipped in the air. Landing back onto the stick on its front legs, Sylveon grabbed my back with her ribbons as I did a handstand. It flipped me and I landed in a split.

The audience was roaring with applause 👏.
I looked up in the crowd and made eye contact with Ash. It's been so long, I thought as I smiled.
"And the winner is...."
