She hadn't seen him in over a year and she had honestly never gotten over him, She had no idea he would be invited to her brothers wedding she wasn't aware that the two had kept in touch since her and Zander broke things off. It hadn't ended in the messiest way or the cleanest either it was somewhere in between and she had been avoiding him at all costs because she knew that being around him would drive her just as crazy as it use to. She struggled to move one after she moved away trying to make a new start for herself she only returned for holidays and birthdays special occasions such as her brothers wedding too. Whenever she did come home she stuck herself indoors afraid she may run into him if she went out into the town she had changed in the last year not anything dramatic of course, She'd lost a few pounds something she'd been trying to do and finally managed to succeed with after the separation, She had always wanted to change her hair color and she finally did so hoping it would help her feel better after the split she'd never colored her hair before, But when she did she fell in love and her confidence went through the roof. She'd done everything possible to move on from Zander she'd joined dating sites and gone on plenty of dates, But none of them ended nearly as well as her first date with Zander, He'd left a lasting impression on her and it was hard to find someone who could leave a better one she'd since given up on finding "The One" and opted into just having fun with her friends going out having girls nights dancing with random guys and going home with the people she came with. Sure it wasn't sex filled nights, But she still had a good time with her friends.
She had however come back to town several times since her brother announced his upcoming wedding. She'd been helping her soon to be sister-in law with the wedding details being her maid of honor gave Athena a lot to do including the bachelorette party party she had thrown about 3 days ago now she was in the process of getting dressed for some reason Rebecca her upcoming sister-in law chose to wear a pink wedding dress and wanted her brides maids and maid of honor to wear white. Being the maid of honor meant her dress was different then the others and she was surprised by how much she actually loved the dress that Rebecca had chosen for her.

Athena was in the bedroom getting dressed with the other girls the wedding was being held at her parents farm it was the perfect place for a wedding specially during the summer time the trees bloomed with flowers the grass a nice green and the yard was huge allowing Rebecca to invite at least 300 plus guests. Turns out that Rebecca knew a lot of people and she had plenty of people to invite her brother had a select few that he wanted there he only invited about 50 people whilst Rebecca was happy to invite basically anyone she'd ever met even if she hardly knew them. They were drinking champagne whilst they got ready and Athena admired the dress that Rebecca had chosen for her she looked in the body length mirror and smiled to herself feeling sexy and confident in this lacy dress if this had been on her two years ago she'd never have felt this way, She ran her fingers through her hair happy with the color she had chosen it went well with the dress too. Her best friend was in the wedding too as she had become a good friend to Rebecca over the years of her dating Athena's brother they'd all become good friends 'So, Don't freak out, But I'm pretty sure I just saw Zander out there' Jillian whispered over Athena's shoulder and her eyes went wide in horror 'W-What?' She stuttered in surprise Jillian cringed 'He was seated in your brothers section' She continued and Athena's throat went dry and she turned to Rebecca 'What's the matter sis?' Rebecca asked she'd been calling her sis for years now the two felt like blood sisters with how close they had gotten. 'Did my brother send an invite to Zander?' Athena asked and Rebecca thought for a moment 'I'm not sure, It's possible he sent invites to everyone in his address book. I'm pretty sure Zander is still in there' Rebecca said and Athena was about to panic when Rebecca's mother peaked in the room 'Are you ready dear?' She asked and Rebecca smiled with glee 'Yes!' She cheered and the moment was over Athena had to force back her feelings and keep a straight face she put on her best fake smile and waited for the music to start before she met up with Ryan the guy she'd be walking down he isle with also known as her brothers best man and best friend.
