In the Kanto Region, Ash was getting ready to reenter the Indigo League in a couple of years. He trained in different locations like the forest around Professor Oak's lab, Seaform Cave, Mt Sliver, and the spot he was at right now, Mt Moon. Right now, he was training some of his recently caught Dragon-Type Pokemon Dragonite, Kingdra, and Salamence. His very first Dragon-Type Pokemon, Gible, evolved into a Gabite when Team Rocket tried to capture Ash's Pikachu again, but they failed as usual. Right now, Gabite has evolved into Garchomp after a training battle with Ash's Sceptile, the strongest Pokemon Ash had during his time in Hoenn. "Good job guys, you all did great today," said Ash as he was getting ready to return his Pokemon to their respective Pokeballs. Once all of Ash's Pokemon, except for Pikachu, have been recalled to their Pokeballs, Ash decided it was time to go train at a new location.
However, the ground started to shake, meaning that there would be a cave-in shortly. Knowing that he is in big trouble right now, Ash made a beeline to the exit. He was 20 ft away from the exit when suddenly, the cave-in started, and boulders and rocks started to fall down. When it started, Ash tripped and fell face-first. When he turned himself around, a small to medium-sized boulder fell and landed on Ash's right knee. "Ouch! That really, really hurts!" screamed Ash as he got the boulder off his knee and began to hold his now injured right knee tightly. By now, the cave-in has stopped, but the exit was blocked by boulders, meaning that Ash couldn't get out that way. Ash then hoped that someone would be around and can help him.
Meanwhile, one of Ash's female friends from Unova, Iris, was around the Mt Moon area, looking for Dragon-Type Pokemon. Right now, she caught a Flygon, a Shelgon, and a baby Dranti. Right now, she was trying to recover from the cave-in that just happened. She could have imagined it, but she thought she heard a scream that came from the inside of Mt Moon. "Hmmm, if that was a scream I heard, it might have come from inside of Mt Moon's cave," said Iris as she was petting her Axew, who was still in shock from the cave-in. "Come on, Axew, let's check it out," said Iris putting Axew back into her very, very, very, very long hair. She then headed for Mt Moon itself to see if that really was a scream she heard.
Meanwhile, Ash was still holding onto his injured right knee tightly, a bunch of wild Zubat were flying around. Not wanting to get bite by one, Ash tried to crawl towards a boulder that had a huge hole on the bottom. He did get underneath the hole, but there was very little to move around, meaning that couldn't sit up or anything like that. All he can hope for right now is that someone heard his scream and was on their way to help him out.
At the same time, Iris just reached Mt Moon's entrance, but there were huge boulders blocking the way in. "Ok, I need to get rid of these boulders if I want to get inside Mt Moon's cave," said Iris. Grabbing one of her Pokeballs, she released the first Pokemon she caught, which was her Excadrill. "Excadrill, can you use your Metal Claw attack to get rid of these boulders?" asked Iris. Excadrill nodded and began to get rid of the boulders at a rather fast speed. In less than 5 minutes, all the boulders that surrounded the entrance to Mt Moon's cave were gone, which meant that Iris could enter the cave.
Once she entered, a blur of yellow ran towards her. Catching it in her hands, she could tell that this was a Pikachu. Pikachu then cooed to show it's signs of friendliness to Iris. "Hey, I think I know you. You're Ash's Pikachu aren't you?" asked Iris. Pikachu nodded and went back to where Ash was. Realizing that the scream might have come from now, Iris yelled, "Ash! Here I come!" and began to run towards Pikachu. Once she got to Ash, she saw that he was under a boulder with a hole on the bottom and he was holding onto his right knee tightly while trying to fend off against some Zubats. "Ash, can you hear me?" said Iris. "Iris? Is that you?" said Ash when he was getting out from the boulder's hole. "Yes, it's me, Ash. Now, what happened to your right knee?" asked Iris with some worry in her voice. "A boulder landed on it, which would seriously injure it," said Ash as he was now out of the boulder's hole at the bottom. "Oh, Ash, you must be in so much pain right now," said Iris as she began to put Ash in her arms and started to carry him out of the cave.
Once they got out of the cave, Iris saw that Ash was more handsome than ever. "O-Oh my. He looks a little different than I last saw him. He's kind of handsome now." thought Iris as a blush appeared on her face. "O-oh, Iris, my knee feels worst then it did before," said Ash as he was closing his eyes tightly. "Don't worry, Ash, I will get you to a Pokemon Center," said Iris as she called out her Dragonite and placed herself and Ash on it's back. "Ok, Dragonite, take us to the nearest Pokemon Center," said Iris. Dragonite nodded and began to fly into the sky.
