"Nana!" A girl with black and red hair ran across the street onto the other side.
"Yes!?" A brown haired girl with a bow in her hair looked up from a garden. The girl with black hair stopped in front of her panting,
"We, we got-we got accepted!" She cheered waving a paper around.
"Accepted into what?" The brown haired girl crouched down to sniff her flowers.
"Nana! What else did we send an entry paragraph for!?" The black hair girl crossed her arms.
"I don't know, college or a university-Or..." She swung her head towards the black haired girl, "Oh my god, we got accepted!!??" Nana screamed.
"Yes!" The black haired girl hugged her friend.
"Emma you have to tell Adam!" Nana jumped around.
"I already did." Emma smiled.
"Should we start packing??" Nana asked.
"I guess so, but didn't you get a letter too?" Emma asked. Nana opened her mailbox,
"No-"
"For Nana Tanaka." The mail carrier handed her an envelope. Almost as soon as her hands got on the envelope she ripped it apart.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA! Look!" She shoved the letter in my face.
"You know what's even better?" Emma lowered the letter. She looked at Emma confused. "That..." Emma slid something out from her sweaters pocket,"We get free rides to America!" She shoved a plane ticket in Nana's face.
"I have to tell my mother!" She ran into her house. Emma could hear screams of excitement coming from inside. After a while Nana came out, "We're leaving on the 13th."
"What!?" But that's in two days!" Emma yelled.
"I guess they came in late." Nana shrugged.
"So we pack tonight?" Emma asked.
"Duh, we only have today and tomorrow and then off we go to America." Nana twirled around her front yard.
"The country of "liberty." Emma laughed.
"There's a list of things we need." Nana looked down at the letter.
"Like?" Emma peeked over at her letter.
"Hiking boots, first aid kit, food, water, extra clothing, your uniform, and sun cream is optional." Nana looked up at Emma.
"I'm fine, I already have all of that."
"We have to go to the store." Nana grabbed Emma's arm and ran down the street towards a small clothing and shoes store.
"You don't have hiking boots?" Emma asked.
"No." Nana looked around at the boots.
"Didn't you have some when we went on our camping trip?" Emma leaned on the shelves.
"Those were my brothers." Nana threw a couple boxes of boots out of the shelf.
"Why don't you ask him if you can use them?" Emma looked around the store.
"Oh please, you know Akira. He would never let me use them more than once." Nana tried on a pair of red boots.
"Did you even bring money?" Emma looked down at her.
"Yup." Nana walked around with one boot on. She looked into a small mirror. "How's it look?" She turned to me.
"Nice, but are they hiking boots?" Emma looked at the box.
