Hermione's Twin Sister

Harriet Artemis Granger is the older twin sister of Hermione Granger and is fiercely protective of her as well as any of her friends.

She has brown hair and eyes like Hermione but her eyes are darker and her hair isn't nearly as bushy as her younger sister's. Also Harriet's teeth were normal size which was definitely not the case for Hermione.

Harriets wand - Blackthorn, dragon heartstring (twin core to Hermione), ridged, 10 inches.

Harriet is a very strong willed person she will fight, quite literally sometimes, for what she believes in, she has always been like that. She doesn't trust or care for people easily but when she does she will do just about anything for them.

She has had quite a few talks with her parents involving her getting into fights in and outside of school but they understood why she did it, she was protecting herself and sister in her own very violent way. Not to mention Harriet had extreme anger issues, so bad that she had to take anger management classes and go to therapy, after about 6 years of classes and therapy she has definitely gotten better with the whole not assaulting people when they disrespect her and/or her sister.

Surprisingly some of the things that helped her was learning martial arts and (inspired by her middle name) how to use a bow and arrow, it took some convincing to be able to do it but it helped her a lot with the anger, gave her a sense of control and strength. Also, she really wanted to live up to the middle name, Artemis, the Greek goddess of the moon, wilderness, and hunt. Like Artemis, Harriet considered herself a protector and she was definitely skilled with a bow and arrows.

When Hermione and her learned about magic Harriet accepted it pretty fast, she may let her emotions control her when angered but other than that she is a logical person and unexplainable things were happening around her. Harriet thought she was losing her mind but nope... It was just a little accidental magic. Anyways this McGonagall lady came in while she was gone and her along with Hermione and their parents were waiting for her to come home.

She was cautious at first, but McGonagall answered her questions and even to prove it was real showed her some magic. Also, the fact that even though Harriet was rude and cold to her (called her an old hag with no fashion sense, she was wearing a green robe, that's weird) McGonagall was calm and patient, she was probably warned about Harriet's attitude.

Hermione was definitely excited to go, she went all nerd and read as many books about Hogwarts as she could and since Harriet and her were always together Harriet read and learned about the wizarding world too. Hermione would read like 4 books by the time Harriet finished one (she doesn't like reading nonfiction) but Hermione would get excited about the books and would always give Harriet summaries of the books. Harriet has an amazing memory and even though she doesn't necessarily like regular nonfiction this was about magic and it was her sister so Harriet would listen and learn though her sister and would debate/argue about some of the topics.

Also I need a nickname I can use for Harriet, please give some suggestions :)
