Hermione's PoV:

It's been a month since Hogwarts and I really believe something is wrong with Harriet, she always slept untill noon whenever she could but now she wakes up at 6 am without my help. Also she's been reading books practically non-stop and if she isn't reading she's working out or practicing with her bow, or even trying to make weapons out of whatever she can find. "Hey Harriet. What are you reading?" I asked her.

"Just a book about herbology. I figured it's something that would be useful and when I'm finished this book I'm going to read some potions books. It's weird I never really liked science but I like potions, and they are basically the same concepts just one is magical." She responded looking up from her book.

"That's nice. Do you want to go swimming today? It's a beautiful day." I asked her, we go swimming a lot, it's kinda our thing.

"Yeah. Just let me finish this chapter." Harriet said and looked back at her book. I left to get my bathing suit and then waited for her down stairs after changing and puting on an over shirt. "Alright let's go!" We, along with our parents went to the place we always swim at.

*One week later*

Harry hasn't responded to any of the letters we gave him, which is strange. I walked into mine and Harriet's room to see her reading yet another book. "Hey, being a bookworm is my thing." I told her.

"Don't worry, I'll still let you answer all the questions at school." She told me with a smirk, "or will I? You never know, but we can both be intelligent, know-it-alls, can't we?" She asked and closed her D.A.D.A. (defense against the dark arts) book.

"Of course we can. It's just... You never seemed interested in school before. You told a few teachers that you wouldn't do any homework or extra work because you were an underachiever! But now... You're reading books meant for fourth years!" I exclaimed, "you going from major underachiever to major overachiever... Kinda worries me."

"I don't want to be unprepared again. Okay? I almost died. You almost died! And I was I-I didn't- couldn't help because I didn't know what a devil's snare was or how to get out of it. YOU needed to save me. I'm your big sister I should be saving you. What if it happens again? Huh!? If we end up in a dangerous situation and I don't know how to get out of it!? I don't want you to need to save me again, I don't want to be weak again! I HATED that feeling. I don't want you to have to save me, to risk you life because I wasn't prepared! I'm your big sister, you shouldn't have to worry about protecting me." I hugged Harriet and she started crying into my shoulder.

"You're only older by 4 minutes so you can't really use that excuse. I love you, Harriet but I don't always need saving and you don't always need to be the strongest person in the room. I am okay and I want you to be, too." I tried to sooth her and I think it worked because after 5 minutes she stoped crying.

"I love you, little sis. And I might only be 4 minutes older but I am still your big sister it's my job to protect you and I failed." She told me then after a moment of silence she wiped the tears off if her face. "I really needed that. Thank you, Hermione." She said while getting in the blankets and closing her eyes.

"I'm always here for you, you know that." I told her then I turned the light off and went to my bed. "Good night, Harriet." And with that I went to sleep.

*Time skip*

It's two weeks until we get to go back to Hogwarts and Harriet, even though she still trains and reads a lot, is doing a lot better and is less reclusive although she only has a couple friends here, one of the downsides to being my sister and protector. Although she owled Neville Longbottom once, and when Ron complained about Fred and George pranking him she owled the boys congratulating them on making her laugh, telling them a few muggle prank ideas, and threatening them if they tell Ron or anyone else that she gave them some ideas.
