Betty's POV:
It was a chilly autumn morning in riverdale as I quickly woke up and got dressed for my first day of senior year. Now most people would be stoked for the last year of high school and then finally move on with their life's, but I wasn't. It was just going to be the same as the last two years of high school I experienced. Miserable. Now you may be wondering "why miserable?" Well I haven't spoken in the last two years. Three now but yea. If your asking why in your heads well that is a whole other story which I'll tell when I'm ready. Anyways I quickly got dressed and went downstairs only to be greeted by my abusive father.

"Get out of the house you fat pig, no breakfast for you unless you want to be more fat". Yes I'll admit those words cut me deep but what can I do when I can't even muster up the courage to stand up for myself. Anyways i headed off to school and ran into my best friend since diapers Veronica! I waved at her then she hugged me. "B it's so good to see you I missed you all summer". I nodded my head to tell her I missed her too. Then we headed off into the crowded halls of riverdale high school. Only to clash into Kevin! V- "hey kev!" K- "hey B and V!" That's his nickname for us and his is kev. Then we went into the student lounge. V- "B, are you still wearing that mask since you can't talk?" I nodded my head yes. You see, since I can't talk I wear a mask. Stupid I know but hey you can't knock it until you try it! K- "anyways have you heard that south side high is being transferred into our school". V- "oh yea I heard they're coming today! K- " maybe they'll be some south side hotties"? V- "I don't know if I should start dating again kev". K- "OMG I'm so sorry V"! V-"it's okay kev you didn't know". If your wondering what Veronica and Kevin are talking about then let me tell. In junior year Veronica dated the high school jock Archie Andrews. She was head over heels in love. But it turns out Archie just used her as a bet to get her into bed. Just before our junior prom Archie slut shamed her in front of the whole school! She cried for months on end and to this day she is still being humiliated for it and yes I get bullied by the jocks for not talking. And Kevin gets bullied for being gay. And my cousin Cheryl who is the HBIC tries to defend us but has rumors spreading about her being a secret lesbian. Which she is except she is too scared to come out to the school and especially her parents. And she has to secretly hang out with us and fake bully us because she is popular because her parents are rich. But sometimes she wishes she could just be herself. Anyways that's basically my friend's backstories. Just then principle weatherbee came on the PA. PW-"Attention all students, south side high has just arrived. With that being said Veronica Lodge, Elizabeth Cooper, Kevin Keller, and Cheryl Blossom please come to the front to introduce yourself's. Thank you. V-"well let's go guys!" With that being said we headed to the front. Once we got there my eyes spotted a tall, raven haired, blue eyed guy looking at me. I made a little eye contact with him before I made my way to where Veronica and Kevin were. He was pretty cute. But hopefully he doesn't want to know what I've been through. Then he'll just leave like all the others. He isn't that curious... Right?...................
Jughead's POV:
I woke up to a crisp, cool, autumn in riverdale. Just then my little sister jellybean came rushing into my room and started jumping up and down on my bed with a big adorable smile. JB-"good morning juggie! Mommy's making pancakes!" J-"okay jelly let me get dressed then we can go get out breakfast". JB-"okie juggie". Gosh she's adorable. Then I put my S t-shirt, black ripped jeans, my crown beanie, and my serpent jacket. You see my father is the serpent king and next in line is going to be me. You also need a queen to rule with you. My dad made my mom his queen and shortly after got married and had me and JB. Anyways about a week ago south side high got shut down so we are moving to riverdale high. I am kind of excited to move schools because then we get to see how the north side kids live. Who knows maybe some of them will be nice. As I went downstairs all I could think about was how the northsiders were going to treat us. I mean sure they'll be scared but we're not that bad. Then my mom pulled me out of my thoughts. G-"good morning jughead". J-"morning mom". FP-"morning boi". J-"morning dad". After breakfast I head to the wyrm where my friends Toni, Fangs, and Sweetpea were. SP-"sup dude". F-"hey bro!" T-"hey jones". J-hey guys!" After a little talking we decided to head out and go to school so we hopped on our bikes and headed off. Once we got there we were met with the presence of four other kids. Three girls and one guy. But the blonde was the one that caught my eye. She was beautiful and had beautiful green eyes. But I wondered why she was wearing a mask. Anyways one red-headed girl started to talk. C-"okay so here are the pairs that are going to tour you". Sweetpea Conner and Veronica Lodge. Fangs Fogarty and Kevin Keller. Antoinette Topaz and me. And Forsythe Pendleton Jones the third and Elizabeth Marie Cooper." Man I wondered who Elizabeth was. Just then the blonde girl I was looking at came up to me. YES she is my tour guide I'm so happy! Then we headed off to start the tour. Just then she handed me a note. It read, dear forsythe, I can't really talk so I'm just going to to have to show you everything and hopefully you know it is so yea. Sincerely, Betty ❤️ I looked at her and said J-it's okay, i understand and please call me jughead". She nodded her head yes and then we headed off to finish the tour. (~time skip to the tour being done~) Once the tour was done I asked Betty if my friends and I can sit at her lunch table and she nodded her head yes. Then I asked her if we could sit together and she also said yes. YES best day ever! Yeah! After my language arts class I was walking to lunch when I spotted Kevin then I came up to him and said, J-"hey Kevin". K-"oh hey, jughead right?" J-"yea, anyways I was wondering if you know why Betty doesn't talk or if she can. Do ya?" K-"gee I don't know if I should be telling you this but oh well, you see Betty was the most outgoing, energetic person you would've ever met. But something happened in her family which made a bit depressed and for the summer before sophomore year she went somewhere without calling or anything, when she came back she stopped talking completely and that's pretty much all I know." J-"jeez thanks for the info kev". K-"no problem, anyways let's get to lunch!"
And with that being said we headed off for lunch.
