He releases me and I jump back. "I don't want to go" I whisper.
"You're going"
I look down at my feet for a moment, looking for bravery then back up at him. I didn't find any. "I don't want to wear heels"
He nods, "The dress is long enough. You can wear flats"
"Can I stick with socks?"
He smiles, "You're fucking weird buy yeah. Come on"
He leads the way to the front door. When we step outside, I'm hit by the cold air. I turn to Boris "Can I get a jacket?"
"No" he places his hand on my lower back and ushers me towards the car, waiting for us. We climb in the back seat and the driver pulls off. As we drive down the long driveway, I look back at the mansion. It's bigger than I thought it was, there are five floors, a thousand windows, the building itself is a light gray. There are large lights in front, making the place shine even more.
"Where are we going?" I ask Boris.
"A fried's" he answers but doesn't look at me.
"Can I play music?"
"No, just shut the fuck up!" he exclaims.
I turn my body to face my window. What happened? All I did was ask two questions. I may be cold but the quiet is killing me, I roll down the window a little and invite the cold air in.
"I thought you were cold," Boris says.
"And I thought you wanted me to shut the fuck up" I snap at him. He gives me a warning look and I look down at my lap. "It was too quiet...I'm sorry"
"Fuck..." he mumbles, removing his jacket. "Don't wrinkle it" he growls before handing me his jacket.
"Thank you" I slip my arms in the holes then lay back.
He could've just put on the radio, why didn't he?
We drive for another thirty minutes before driving into a driveway. The whole ride we had passed houses as large as Boris's, each house is at least a mile or two apart, filled by a forest. Note, if I decide to make a run for it, I'll need a bike or something, I'm fast but if I make a run for it they will be able to run me down.
We reach the end of the driveway to a large house and climb out. We approach the door and Boris rings the doorbell.
"Here" I slip his jacket off my shoulders.
"Keep it. It's usually cold inside"
The door opens and a man dressed as fancy as Boris is, smiles. My eyes dart to the bottle of whiskey in his hand. It's almost empty.
"Boris" The man slurs, "You look good and who's this? Your new Goddess?"
"Fuck off" Boris growls. He places his hand on my lower back and ushers me inside as he pushes the man away.
"New Goddess?" I whisper to him.
He smiles, "Don't think you're special"
Ouch. The man follows behind us. "Why didn't you just turn the radio on to kill the noise?" I ask Boris. His jaw clenches and he removes his hand. We enter a large living room with a few people dressed fancy.
"What the fuck is this?" Boris growls at the man behind us.
"We relocated" he shrugs. Everyone stars at us. There are five men and four women, all of them are wearing suits and dresses.
"Go sit down" Boris orders. I walk over to the large couch and sit on the end. Boris joins the group three men by the fireplace. Sit and be quiet, that's my only job. I look at Boris, he already has a glass in his hand.
