It was six in the morning when I felt Kelly shuffle next to me, causing me to slowly open my eyes and groan. Kelly must have noticed because he paused before rolling towards me and pulling me to his chest. I looked up at him tiredly and he laughed.

"You tired from last night?" he said to me with a smirk causing me to smack his bare chest.

"You realize all we did was get drunk at Molly's then come right back here," I said while rolling my eyes. "If we did anything else Shay would most likely ban me from staying over anymore," I said laughing. Without saying anything else Kelly pulled me back into his chest and we stayed that way until we both had to get up at seven to get ready for work.

While Kelly shuffled into the bathroom to shower I got dressed and walked down the spiral staircase to the kitchen where Shay was making coffee. Looking up at me she smirked and said "Long night (Y/N)?" I rolled my eyes at her and she laughed. "By the time we got back here, we were so drunk Kelly just passed out on the bed. And you would most definitely not let me come back if anything else happened." I responded, leading Shay to laugh and handing me a cup of coffee before walking out the door.

"You all ready to go-...wow you look hot," Kelly stated surprised walking into the kitchen and pecking me on the lips. I rolled my eyes and said "I only have a meeting today with the board then I have the rest of the day off. Do you want to go get lunch?" Before he responded, I could see that there was something wrong. "Kelly, is everything ok? Did I do something wrong?" I questioned worriedly. He glanced up at me. "I'm sorry (Y/N), these weird fires have been popping up everywhere and at each one of them, and they're somehow connected to me." My breath stopped. Is someone trying to kill him? "Matt, Boden, and were are investigating it as an arsonist who just got out of prison, but he was proven clean and I think I know who it is...I think its Hadley."

Once he said that name my breath stopped. Hadley had been part of Squad 3 with Kelly before he was fired for harassing the candidate Mills. Glancing at the clock Kelly smiled at me and grabbed our bags before pulling me out of the door. Pulling up to firehouse 51 Kelly quickly bent over the passenger seat pecking me on the lips and looking at me in the eyes.

"How about we go to a late lunch at two?" I nodded smiling back at him before he got out of the car. Watching him walk into the station I waved at both him and Casey before driving off to the office.

It had now been three hours since you had dropped Kelly off at work and he was no doubt bored. 51 had only responded to a couple of calls which were easy fires. Groaning he continued to talk to Cap and the members from the truck before someone interrupted them with a cough. Looking up Kelly quickly became heated. Standing there was the man he questioned at the bar, Hadley. Before he could say anything Severide stood up and started marching towards him before being stopped by Casey's hand on his chest.

"What are you doing here Hadley?" Casey questioned while holding a fuming Severide back. Hadley glanced around at everyone before locking eyes with Kelly and smirking. "I just wanted to see how my new replacement is doing." Kelly was about to say something back before Boden walked out of his office.

"Why are you here Hadley, you were fired two weeks ago." Boden sternly questioned. "I came to see how the house is doing after you all ruining my chance at working in another house," he said angrily, glancing at Kelly again. "I know you're the one starting the fires Hadley!" Kelly said exploding. Soon, the two began to fight leading to everyone holding them back. Before either of them could say anything else the alarm went off. As the voice was repeating the address Severide froze. The place that was called in was (Y/N)'s work. Suddenly Gabby ran behind him and patted his back, letting him now that she knew what was going on.

Pulling up to the building Kelly's heart began beating out of his chest. Quickly snapping it out of it, he met up with Casey and they listened to Boden barking out orders. "Casey, your team start checking rooms, Squad vent the roof." Before he could run away Boden yelled Kelly's name. "Severide, you stay and help Casey's team bring people out. I don't want you hurting others because your distracted" Before he could argue part of the roof of the building blew and he ran towards the building.

As he was helping people out Kelly noticed one of his girlfriend's close co-workers running out of the building. He quickly ran up to her and started asking her questions. "Olivia! Have you seen (Y/n)!? Where is she?" Saying no she was quickly pulled away by Shay and Gabby to be checked out.

After ten more minutes Kelly heard Boden call it over his radio. He began to freak out, not having seen you being brought out of the burning buildings. As everyone began to retreat Casey and Severide locked eyes before Casey called to Boden over the radio that they were going in. Ignoring the Cheif Kelly ran into the fire with his heart feeling like it was about to beat out of his chest. He had to find you. He wouldn't be able to live without you.

Coughing I slowly peeled open my eyes and heard a loud ringing in my ears. Not being able to move much I rolled onto my back. The last thing that I remembered was walking into the back office and something that looked like a white cup explode before smelling smoke. As a few my feelings came back to me, I could feel the gash across my cheek and the fire close to my legs. I didn't know how long I had been in the building, but I knew I wouldn't be able to handle the smoke much longer.

"Someone...help.," I called out before passing out again.

"Someone...help.."

Kelly's headshot towards the voice before calling for Casey to follow behind him. Hurrying towards the room, Kelly kicked the door open without thinking and saw you laying on the ground. Quickly running to you he peeled off his mask and placed it on your bloody soot-covered face. "C'mon (Y/N) don't leave me like this! You can't do this!" He began yelling before Casey yanked on his arm telling him they had to go. Picking you up in his arms he ran out of the building before it finally exploded. Ignoring Boden's yelling he ran your frail body over to Shay and Gabby and quickly helped them load you into the ambo.

"She has no pulse! Starting compressions!" Gabby yelled before the ambo doors were shut in front of the frantic Severide and it pulling away, speeding towards the hospital.

"Severide!" Kelly turned around facing Herman who was patting his back telling him that (Y/N) will be okay. Only nodding because of shock Severide turned around and started walking back towards the truck for water. Before he could grab a bottle of water, he noticed a familiar smirking man watching the building burn. All Kelly saw was red before he dropped the bottle and angrily ran up to Hadley grabbing the collar of his shirt.

"You! You started this I know it! You could have killed her!" He raged at Hadley before he was peeled away from the laughing man by Boden. "Severide calm down!" He sent one last glare at the male before hopping back into the truck.

Kelly wasn't allowed to visit you because Boden was afraid he was going to look for Hadley again. A couple of hours of sitting in front of the station later, Kelly could finally go home. Marching straight past Shay who was trying to talk to him and straight up to his room, Kelly finally let the tears fall. He might have lost you today. The hospital still hadn't called him back yet. Angrily picking up a glass cup in his room he threw against the wall sobbing.

Suddenly his door was opened and he didn't turn around. "Go away Shay, I don't want to talk right now." Hearing the door shut Kelly finally turned around, with tears running down his face, noticing it wasn't Shay standing in front of him. It was you.

"(Y/N)...you're.." He whispered before noticing the tears rolling down your face. Kelly quickly pulled you in for a hug, stroking your hair. You both stayed like that for a while and Kelly knew that he would never leave you ever again.
