Chapter Three
I screamed and thrashed a bit, even after he pulled away.
"What. The. Hell MAN??" He smiled.
"You should sit down and tell me about yourself." I could tell that he was usuing his alpha voice, and I laughed.
"I wasn't always a rouge. I was the alpha's daughter, it's in my blood to disobey." He grabbed my wrist and pulled me down next to him on the small couch. I felt every bone in my body freak out at the fact that he was so close.
"Tell me about yourself."
"No."
"Don't challenge me. At least tell me your name."
"Hmm. Ann."
"Well don't you want to know anything about me?"
"Nope. I just want to go home."
"This is your home. You'll see that soon. But until then, you can stay here. Don't try to escape." He left, locking the door with an electronic passcode. No way. I tried to crack the code, but after five wrong tries, it gave me the hint.
"In the desk drawer." Ha. I looked in all the rooms until I found a desk, and looked in the top drawer. There was a sticky note with an equasion.
3(9y-5x)+45(1y-3x)
Pshh. What an idiot. All you need to do is (lesson in 7th grade algebra here)
multipy 3 times 9y to get 27y.
3 times negative 5x to get -15x
Then multiply 45 times 1y to get 45y
45 times -3x to get -135x.
Now add -135x + -15x=-150x
45y + 27y= 72y
150x + 72y
Hmm....no.....WAIT.
150 times 72y is
10800!!!!!!!!!
I ran out and punched in the code, smiling when it opened. Dashing to the forest, I smirked. I almost made it, too, but I was brought to the ground.
"You're coming with me. The alpah doesn't take kindly to tresspassers." The burly male took me to the large pack house, dragged me up the stairs, and threw me into a large office where the alpha sat. He looked up from his paperwork, startled.
"How did yo get out?" I snorted.
"Just because I'm blonde, doesn't mean that i'm stupid. You really should not of used seventh grade math for your lock code." He looked annoyed.
"You can go, Barry." The burly guy left me on my bruised knees in front of his desk.
"Alright, it's about time you told me what your full name is."
"No." He chuckled.
"Hard way, then." He grabbed the letter opener on his desk and made a small cut on his forearm. I gasped and looked down at my arm, where an identical cut was made. He wiped a bit of the blood on his mouth, and it lingered on his lips. He walked forward to me. As he came closer, I synchronised my backwards steps with his forward ones, but all to soon my back hit the hard, solid material of the wooden door and I was left without an escape plan. He closed in on me and slowly, deathlyslowly, pressed his lips to mine. I struggled at the salty, bitter taste that assulted my mouth until he finaly pulled away so that I could wipe my mouth.
"What are you, a satist?!" I halft yelled. He frowned and sat down.
"Wait a minute."
"What? What are you-ugh." I felt something shift inside of me, a strange feeling, like someone was grabbing my insides and shoving them into another persons insides. I felt like I was a different person, or maybe two people.
Hello, Ann.
"What the hell was that???"
I'm your spirit wolf. I'm here to help you.
"What do you mean help me??? This doesn't make sense!"
Ann, I don't have long here. That man, that wolf, is your mate.
"NO. No way, I can't have a mate!"
Ann, just do something for me.
"WHAT?"
Just touch him. I know you don't want to, just touch him. I....I have to go.
And just like that, the voice was gone. I slowly, tentatively reached my hand out and touched his arm. I felt a warmpth run through my hand, which traveled through my nerves up to my mind, sending only one signal, a whisper, really. Faded word, heard many times, but never, ever like this.
Mate.
