4. A Prince Of Egoism

June approached the chamber of the first prince with the awareness of what might be waiting for her. As the light-haired knocked and received no reply, she decided to enter without being invited and what she found was utter chaos. She looked around in clear disgust, not only seeing but evidently smelling the heavy scent of the union of an ignorant prince who didn't even try to hide what happens in his quarters. The head maid groaned heavily as she remembered how clean and arranged Prince Zeldris' room was yesterday. She finally marked some movements under the large blankets. The young demoness Josie appeared from under them and made a surprised look while noticing the situation she was in.

"June-sama, I..." she submissively tried to explain.

"Stop shivering, just leave. I need to talk to his grace," she announced. Josie nodded and tugged at another body.

"You don't need to wake him up I will..." she stopped realizing that she tried to awaken another woman. Both of them disappeared quickly, noticing the way June stared at them. The blonde surprisingly has not woken up yet so the demon maid had an idea.

After a long night, the first prince of the realm attempted to open his eyes. He was surprised to find a female body next to him, wondering where his presumably annoyed maid was. It was a nice change, he thought, hugging the body next to him. Something seemed wrong though. This smell was familiar but not in a positive way. His eyes widen as he finds a sleeping Isabella, the daughter of the western general next to him. The bewildered prince was positive that he didn't sleep with her but how did she come here then? He tried to put everything together without success as there were no pieces.

Nevertheless, he needed to get her out of here soon if someone saw him with her, he would have to deal with the council and their thirst to make him marry this woman later. He would kill whoever dared to set this trap.

After a complicated plan, he returned Isabella safely to her quarters. On the way back he met his two courtesans, he was sure to have spent the night with. "You two!" they bowed as they noticed their master.

"Good morning prince, have you finished talking to Lady June?" Josie asked friendly.

"Talking to June?" he repeated.

"Yes, she dismissed us, saying that she needed to speak with you." Meliodas' face grew sinister making the two back away. He didn't say another word as he stomped off.

The blonde kicked the door to his chamber open, knowing that she was in there.

"JUNE!" he roared.

"Oh hello, have you succeeded?" she blatantly replied not expecting the blonde to pin her on his bed.

"Why did you do this? Do you want to make me despise you?" he darkly questioned. The opposite didn't reply as she broke out of his clutch and fixated on his throat.

"Oh, so that's all you reflect on then? I will not look after such a self-centered prince anymore. Enough is enough." with that she turned him on his back, leaving him alone.

"The first prince is so scary. I don't want to attend him."

"I tried yesterday but when he told me to leave I couldn't deny him."

"What should we do? These days he is so foul-tempered too."

"I will ask Master Chandler to do these tasks." a small silhouette spoke behind the crowd.

"June-sama! Thank you soo much!" they kneeled in gratitude.

The situation didn't improve, moreover, it got severe. Chandler happily agreed to help, obviously but Meliodas was not really fond of his ways to serve him. The blonde prince sends word to June constantly, telling her to meet him in his office but not once did she appear nor reply. His wrath only grew as the days went on. Soon he would have to return to Britannia and fight in the war anew.

No matter how furious he had been, he didn't want to leave their relationship like that. The prince knew that she was right, he is self-centered and didn't care how he did things.

Even if it was unheard of a prince apologizing to a servant, he didn't care as long as they could reconcile. He needed something that would show how sorry he truly was.
