The chemical scent of freshly opened paint, the sound of the brush stroking against a blank canvas, and the thought process that goes into each art piece. The satisfaction of a finished piece, that is all an artist looks for, and that is what keeps him relaxed and sane.
Taehyung had been working on the same painting for the past week, pulling all-nighters and not going to sleep until his eyes burn when the sun comes up.
Jungkook hates the fact that he does this every night, he worries Taehyung will get sick, or that his bones will ache. To top it all off, he hates sleeping alone.
This time, however, he came home from work very late.
Tired, he walked inside and took his shoes off with a huff. When he slowly made his way into the living room, he spotted Taehyung on the floor with all of his supplies sprawled out, painting again.
With a frown, he made his way over, "Baby... what did I tell you about pulling all-nighters?"
Sighing, he puts his things down on the coffee table and sat down on the floor next to Taehyung, admiring his work.
Cockily remarking, "I'll throw away all your paint if you don't clean up and come sleep before I'm done changing."
Taehyung stopped and turned to face jungkook with a small grin. He put his paint brush down and leaned in close, "How about I take your clothes off, for you... how does that sound, princess?" He whispered, chuckling at Jungkook's flustered state.
"Wh—what?" Jungkook spoke softly, still processing the words that left Taehyung's lips.
Taehyung quietly organized and closed up his paint kits and set them to the side in a neat pile for later before eyeing Jungkook, noticing the shirt he wore.
He gave him a small pout as he spoke, "I missed you, and waited for you, but you since you were late today, I decided to continue working on the piece from last week." He then grabbed Jungkook by the waist and pulled him closer, pecking his lips before wrapping both his arms around him.
"On a side note; Who told you to wear such a tight shirt today?" Smacking his ass playfully.
Jungkook's cheeks were red, no matter how many times a day his ass gets slapped, he's never going to overcome his shyness and embarrassment from it. "W—well I was running late..."
"And?"
Rolling his eyes, he wrapped his arms around his beloved as well and continued, "I forgot to do the laundry last night, so I just grabbed whatever was within reach before heading out... you were deep alseep and didn't even wake up to say goodbye either." Frowning.
Taehyung pulled away to cup Jungkook's cheeks, apologizing, "I'm so sorry my little koo bear~" he cooed, peppering his face, "I didn't mean to sleep in, and I regret that I did because I've missed you so, so, so~ much!" He cooed again, speaking all soft and bubbly, cuddling Jungkook, holding him tightly to make up for it.
Jungkook couldn't help but smile, melting in his arms. "This... feels nice." He whispered, gently kissing Taehyung's cheek, drawing random squiggles and shapes on his back, "Just, how much did you miss me?" He asked.
Taehyung gasped, "Baby, did you not get the ten voicemails I left?"
Jungkook smiles softly and laughed, "I did! You told me you were waiting for so long and that you were hungry!"
