Chapter 3: Alone again

3rd P.O.V

Anxiety was hitting Kanashimi like a truck right now, it was already 9 am and still no sign of Chizome, he let out a tired sigh as he got out of bed and made himself breakfast, after eating something small he checked the news, no dead heroes and no Hero Killers captured.

Kanashimi didn't know what to do, he wanted to be out there, flying again, he knew that being indoors was the best option but he couldn't help himself but dream about flying again or even taking a nice stroll in the rain without worrying about being chased by the villains who wanted to make him into one of their disgusting creatures.

And yet somewhere in his mind, there was always a thought that this is just a nice dream or an illusion and he was still in that abandoned hospital, running around like a crazy person before death takes him. Kanashimi soon stopped himself, not wanted to know if he was truly living a lie or not.

Soon his thoughts shifted to Chizome, he never expected to see his friend again, even after months of spending time with him he couldn't get enough of him, he just wanted to curl up against him and cuddle for the rest of the day, and now the only thing he could think about is his friend.

Do I love him? Nooo, there's no way, we're just friends and I'm not even gay! Unless...Oh god, what if I AM gay!

Kanashimi could feel his face warm u at the thought of his friend, his strong arms, board chest, wild hair, his eye whose colour outshine the most beautiful rubies.

This wasn't the first time he thought about his friend like this, in high school he always fancied his friend but he always brushed it off, thinking that the only reason he had those feeling is because of his wild hormones.

Fuck, ok maybe I am gay. Should tell him? How do I even say 'Hey I love you, you lovely bastard' without running our friendship, god I'm a mess-

His thoughts were cut off as he heard a heavy thump upstairs but no groan, Kanashimi's mind already thought about the worst as he rushed upstairs. When he opened the door he saw his Chizome barely standing, Kanashimi caught him in his arms before he could fall again, he quickly checked him for injuries, Kanasihimi let out a relieved sigh "What took you so long?"

"It was clear that the idiot wanted to tire me out before attacking, he couldn't land a single hit on me and I couldn't land a single hit on the bastard until he got caught in his own trap, he underestimated me and got tired before me, I stabbed him near the spine but I couldn't finish the job because some other bastard called the cops, I don't think Ingenium will be walking for a while"

Chizome explained as Kanashimi checked him for injuries once again making sure that there are none before helping his friend out of his vest "Are you sure there are no injuries? " he asked him "Don't worry there aren't any but I feel like I'm about to pass out" before he flopped on the bed Kanashimi stopped him and pointed to the door

"Look I know you are tired but you are NOT gonna dirty the fresh sheets I put on this morning, get a shower, and then go to sleep" Chizome groaned and grabbed some clothes and went to get a shower, soon he felt his face warm up.

I never realized how hot he gets when he's serious.

Chizome thought as he got under the shower, after finishing the shower he could feel his legs give in as he gripped the small drawer to balance himself, he could barely walk at this point, he quickly got dressed and tried to walk again while leaning on the wall but soon he found himself on the floor, again.

He tried to get up but his body just wasn't cooperating as it seems "Hey are you ok? I heard you fall again and I got worried" he heard his friend say over the other side of the door "Yeah I'm fine, I feel too tired to even walk, can you get in and help me get to the bed?" Chizome could hear Kanashimi stutter from the other side, trying to say something "Don't worry I'm not naked!"
