The city, where unexpected things happen and are more or less, unpredictable. To think that I would lay my eyes on such an angel in this sort of place. It's like our eyes had collided and I knew that she was the one for me. When I had suddenly approached her, she ran off, so like anyone else would do if they met the love of their life, the one for them, I chased after her without any thought or hesitation.
As the streets got more and more crowded, I started to lose sight of her. Thinking to myself, I couldn't help but think that what if that was my last encounter with her. Although it wasn't much of an encounter. Losing hope, I then decided to head off and look for food because man I'm starving. found a cafe that looked like it had decent food and wasn't too crowded. When I walked inside, you would've never have guessed who was standing right before my eyes, it was her.
I approached her and introduced myself, "Hi. My name is Tatsuo Yamamoto. It is a pleasure to meet you!". She stumbled upon her words but then she had finally let out words and said "Hello. I am Naoko Watanabe. I'm so sorry about earlier, I was startled!". We both clashed with our words, "Is that really-". I apologised and allowed her to go first. She then calmly asked "Is that really you.. from way back then?", I struggled for a few seconds, not knowing how to respond. "I believe so..". We both stood there in silence. Then a loud voice followed by the silence shouting "ORDER UP FOR NAOKO!". She walked over and replied with "Yes, that's me.". I couldn't help but stare at how perfect she is.
*FLASHBACK* "Hey Yama-kun, do you want to come over today", little Naoko had shouted. "Yeah, I'll be right over Wata-chan", replied little Tatsuo. *END OF FLASHBACK* "Sorry for making you wait Yama-kun..". We both become shocked, she had called me Yama-kun like she always would back then.. before I moved. "Uh you know I didn't mean to leave without saying goodbye, it was just..", Naoko stopped him mid sentence and said "No, no, I understand, why don't we sit down and catch up on what we missed over the past 10 years". My response, "Yeah, sure!".
We discussed for about half an hour on what we had been doing all those years. I still haven't owned up to the feelings I had for her and the feelings I have right now but it is nice to catchup. "Hey, uh I know this might be a weird topic for you but after you left, your friends told me that you had a crush on me, was that true?". I was shocked, I didn't know how to respond. I drank my coffee and gave in and told her the truth, "Yes, I did like you back then..". Naoko walked over o my side of the table and I had never expected this.. she kissed me! I put my hand against her face and kissed her back. We were sharing a moment, after all these years.. our love was rekindled.
