Welcome to California. where the sun is hot no matter what season it is or at least thats how i feel considering i moved here with my sister and mom from Wesconsin. Things were hard back at home since my father left us when I was three and my sister was five. My mother had a harder time taking care of us. although me and my sister have tried so hard to help but things werent working out so much. so here we are in California starting over.

"okay lets go" i said putting my backpack on. "where's Candy?" my mom asked grabing her keys.

"Here!" she said running down the stairs "sorry i was just fixing my hair. Gotta make a good impression on my first day of school."

"Alright well lets going we dont want you two to be late."

We walked outside to the car and got in. "so you guys ready? oh my babys on their first day of school."

"mom were going to high school not pre school" i said rrolling my eyes at her excitment.

"i know but this is your first day going to an actuall school."

You see scince we were going through rough times my mom usually home schooled us so this is the first time we are going to a school with other people. To be honest i am a little nervous.

When we got to the school my eyes widened at how big it was. Sure ive seen schools before like on tv and just when we pass by one but this school was really big.

"well you guys have fun and tell me everything when you get home and call if anything happens."

"dont worry mom we'll be fine" Candy reassured mom as we got out.

"okay well..have fun love you guys" she said waving to us as she drove off.

"Okay little bro I'm gonna go find my classes so I know where they are you should do the same. "

And with that she left. "Well hello new school and hello new life"

School. Life. Die

I turned around quickly. I thought I just heard something. Although there was no one actually acknowledging me.
