*A/N*

Hello.

Before  we start, I'd like to say something.

I am aware that this book has slow updates and I am very, very sorry for that. But please, remember that I have started this book in August and then school had gotten in the way. However, Remote Learning has given me the chance to update more often.  So keep in mind I'm working on making a schedule to update by the end of each week.

Thank You!

-Chapter 2-

Blackquill took a seat at his desk and pulled out the computer they had loaned him.

You had already been in law school, so you knew the basics. You knew what to do with the paperwork, so you clicked the pen and started writing. It was an autopsy report that Simon would use against the defense for this case, being Apollo Justice.

A few minutes later you were getting bored. You twirled the end of your H/L hair for a few minutes, watching the strands stick out as soon as they released  from your fingers.

"Having fun over there?" you heard a sarcastic yet serious voice ask you. You could basically feel his dull, gray eyes piercing through you. You realized you were keeping him waiting on your answer.

"I-I'm sorry, sir! I'll get back to wor-"  you exclaimed but were cut off by him chuckling.

"Heh, heh. It's really no issue. However, this is lunch break. You have permission to leave the building and eat. Please return to this building at 1 pm though." He states, eyes closed. You couldn't help but noticed how nice and calm he looked while just talked. To be honest, if he talked like this all the time, you would gladly let him lecture you about almost everything.

You nodded, and took your skateboard from the corner, heading for the hallway. You were stopped by a man who looked like he was in his 30s.

"Oh Hey! Are you new here?" he asked, smiling, and putting two index fingers next to his head in a salute.

"Yessir! I work for the prosecutor Simon Blackquill!" you said with formality. You didn't want to ruin your reputation, after all.

"Oh? That's excellent! I'm his detective, Bobby Fullbright! It was nice to meet ya!" he said while giving you a fist bump and walking away.

He's a nice dude. You thought as you walked out of the building and skated over through town, your hair swishing in the wind the ride was producing.

You didn't really know this part of your town that well, so you stopped by the nearest cafe and waited in line.

"Can I have the next order in line?" Someone called out and you walked up.

"Hello, and welcome to the Kabukicho Cafe! What can I get you?"

You tilted your head in thought, looking at the menu above the cashier's head. What looks appealing?

"One coffee, please."

"That'll be 300 yen!"

You handed the money to her and sat down waiting, scrolling around Instagram.

Once you got the coffee, you took your skateboard and rolled out while sipping it. It would almost be time to go back to work, so you'd need to hurry, but not too fast.
