    "Ugh.."

I moan. I open my eyes, which are coated over with blood. I look around as my vision sharpens, and everything comes into existence. I'm sitting on a snowy hill, and there is a gorgeous valley nearby. All I remember is suckling milk, with warm bodies all around me. Then blood.. Lots of blood... I look around, and everything is white, the colour releasing me from my terrible vision. I stumble upwards, and I feel an increasingly agonizing ache in my stomach area. I look down at my feet and I glimpse a small, brown object fly out of my tummy, causing me to spasm and bark in pain. My eyes skim over the bushes where the.. the, thing, ran into. But all I see is a slight rustle of the wind, and little blood puddles from me. I refocus my attention on my stomach, and I found the source of all my discomfort. My stomach has been pulverized, my entrails spilling out everywhere, as if something ate its way out of me. I cry out in pain as I collapse to the blood-soaked snow. My tail has a gash slit straight down from my neck. I'm starting to wonder how I'm even alive.

My ribs feel broken,

I think. I allow myself to flop down fully, resting my weary head on the soft, fluffy snow.
