Hello everyone! Before you read this story I have some things to say. An Antipode is the direct opposite of a country on earth. Many people believe that the Bermuda Triangle is a wormhole to the other side of the earth. So I have imagined "What if this was true" and I have written this story. If you have any questions about the plot please comment. That's all. Happy reading!
Listen to me and listen close. Have you heard of the Bermuda triangle? Famous for many disappearing ships? Most likely you think it is fake. But it's not. And don't tell me I'm crazy, just listen.
I'm an airline pilot. Have been my whole career. I've flown everywhere from Paris to Washington, but on this particular flight, I was flying to New York. There were about 30 people on the plane. Nice, normal, breezy flight until the wind kicked up. Now, this normally wouldn't be a cause for concern, so I wasn't worried.
But it got worse and worse. I wanted to land, but my copilot said it wasn't worth it.
So I pushed on through the worsening storm. Suddenly I heard a crack, and the plane shook. Then I looked out through the front window and saw a huge.....rock flying straight towards the plane. My copilot was screaming. I squeezed the steering wheel so hard, my knuckles turned white and shut my eyes. I heard a HUGE bang then a crack, then nothing.
I'm dead, I'm dead, I'm dead---I'm not dead? My eyes sprang open. I was still on the plane like nothing happened. But I wasn't flying it...in fact, all I saw through the windows was darkness. I looked to my side and my copilot was gone. No dead body, just nothing. I tried to calm down. It was probably a dream and maybe he's just in the washroom. I waited for 10 minutes. 30 minutes. 1 hour. But he didn't return. So I stood up and went to see if the passengers were okay. But when I got there, the seats were empty. I checked the overhead luggage slots. Nothing. It was like they were never here. My mind raced for explanations. Maybe we landed...and everyone got off and thought I was dead? I slowly walked toward the plane's exit. But I couldn't open the door. It didn't feel locked, just like someone was holding it. HaHa, very funny Maya. Now let me out.
No answer.
Suddenly I was thrown to the ground. The plane was still moving! But how??? I shakily rose. Well, there's only one way to find out. I carefully stumbled my way to the cockpit. But I never made it there. I was one step from the curtain whe--BOOM
I was thrown in the air once more, but this time I could see the floor below me, and everything was moving in slow motion. I looked out the window and saw water. Where am I?
Wait. Am I--Is this----
THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE?
AND DOES IT LOOK LIKE THE PLANE IS HEADED STRAIGHT TOWARD IT??
Crap. But there was nothing I could do. I just watched helplessly as the plane hurtled toward it. Well, I guess this is it. I'll miss you world, I'll mis-
Impact.
My eyes slowly open. Wh-where am I? What happened? And where is my plane? Suddenly it all comes flooding back to me. The plane, the falling, the Bermuda triangle. But, how did I get from water, to here? I'm done with reasonable explanations. I just want to get out of here. erm...Wherever here is.
I examine my surroundings. Now, being I pilot I know geography pretty well.
Is this- Australia?
